Do you, by chance, know where whores go?
I am here today to talk about title bar favourtism. It has been a topic that has been disccused many times over the years, and basically is the idea that Moderators are more lenient on people with "older" title bars. If one is mythic or heroic, a mod might let your post slide, even if it breaks the rules.
While it is not proven, and clearly does not work all the time, there is no doubt that certain moderators do hold favouritism.
A perfect example would be in a thread that happened today, with the mod known by most as "Foman".

You see that? That is your username, it is right at the top of your post, eliminating the need to sign posts.
So don't.You must be new here. In fact, you must be new to forums in general.
Instead of derailing threads by telling other, more experienced users how to post, how about you shut the -blam!- up and participate in the discussion?
Move along.
The person Foman quoted was replying to somebody who always signs his name after all of his posts. This "signature guy" also happens to be a mythic member.
In Foman's reply, he implies that because somebody has been on this website longer, they are "superior" to others. They have more knowledge on how to post on this website, and apparently should not be challenged on their posting behaviours.
Isn't this a perfect example of favouritism?
Additionally, Foman also has "derailed" the thread. He might have avoided this had he posting something on-topic. Another Moderator, known as "Bobcast", also posted something off-topic, but he wasn't be-rated by Foman.
For my last point, I will quote the rules of the website.
- Respect your fellow members, or at least tolerate them publicly. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, even if they probably deserve it.
Foman clearly was not respecting that person, as he told him to "shut the -blam!- up". While one might expect this from a regular user, Foman is a moderator. He broke the very rules he is supposed to enforce.
So, the Bungie.net community, what do you think of this behaviour?
