If any bungie employee is reading this and anyone else that might find some of this interesting to read, here are a couple of reasonable ideas that I would love to see in the next halo. (I know there are a lot of people doing this but I have the time and just want to have my own thoughts heard, and I realize that you guys are more than capable of coming up with content on your own.)

I would like to see another revised version of Blood Gulch/Coagulation and see Lockout return.

For multiplayer it would be a cool to have some more open large levels with lots of vehicles and very tall bases (good for sniping).

It would be an improvement if the grenade fuse (Frag Grenade) was shorter. I am tired of throwing a grenade and everyone having enough time to get clear of it, like have it explode when it touches ground. The plasma grenade needs to be stronger as far as unhooked explosions go.

The human pistol should be much stronger, like the one from Halo 1.

I would like to see content from the books (In the form of a flashback perhaps?). To really have a great game (which you do) one has to have a strong story line and a good fully developed character. The story line is beautiful but as far as the chief goes (in the game) he is not very developed. Have some references from the books.

I liked the different warthogs that you were showing for Halo 2 (the ones that were cut); it would be cool to see them make an appearance in Halo 3. There should also be a Human equivalent of the Covenant’s Ghost, I believe you had plans for this in Halo 2 (the ATV) but it was cut because it had shotty handling. This could easily be fixed. Make the pelican flyable (more for large scale multiplayer levels than anything). Have a human answer to the Banshee, a helicopter.

Have zero gravity fights (single or multiplayer). On the first level of Halo 2 you toyed around with the idea, but it needs to be expanded upon.

Use some kind of technology that has everything break in realistic ways and not have it be the same prescript animation. The new Indy Game is using something like that.

Have some great fire effects, like the fire in Lost Planet (360 Game).

The Shotgun needs to be more powerful.
Sword should be revised so it’s not the all powerful weapon and needs to glow a little more.
I also want to see the Flamethrower come back (had it for PC but never transferred it to the console games).
The needler needs to be reworked (its projectiles are still too slow and don’t do that much damage).

Should add in the Jugernought Flood Type (You had it for Halo 2 and cut it and I have seen it in action. It was really fun to fight, but it didn’t have a Dying Animation)

Have more large scale Battles with marines and Covenant.

The maps should be a little less confined (single player). Halo 1 offered plenty of space to battle but Halo 2 was a little more confined as far as space goes.

The Covenant should have some more funny or Aggressive lines then just the same couple lines shouted over and over again in game.

Guns should have more smoke come out of them than they do.

Should have a revised version of the Halo 1 Assault Rifle.

Need some night time levels (or at least more of them).

Multiple paths to tackle a level.

Make vehicle explosions bigger and their secondary explosions deadly.

Make him a little more fast (In the books they say he is really fast but in the game he only runs about the same speed as the other marines.).

On the vehicles one should be able to shoot the armor off around the fuel tank and blow up the fuel tank (was able to do that with the Ghost all ready but nothing else).

Make the flood smarter and more horrifying in the ways they attack (not like squad based but like sneaky).

The covenant should use more squad based tactics. They are an organized army and so far none of them are showing any kind of training, they just rush in and get shot. At the moment all their intelligence is, is using cover (occasionally and only the Elites) and the grunts will run away when scared. They should use a little more tactics then that, like flanking and all of them should be able to use cover and have a little bit of a strategy when they attack. I know its an all out shooter but they don’t know how much of a bad ass the Chief is so they are or should be trying to use their military tactics on him even if he can mow right over them.

Add a couple of simple commands to the D-pad like load up (a vehicle), or get out, or follow, Hold here. I don’t know how many times I tried to sneak into a room full of enemies and get a few stealth kills and the friendly AI screwed it up.

Add the Ability to look around corners before going (lean around). Bungie had it for Halo 2 and then trashed it, I never knew why.

Be able to drive Shadows (covenant Transport).

Be able to shoot down the covenant Troop transports (Phantoms or the Halo 1 U ship, should bring that one back).

Have other Grenades and Ammo go off when throwing a grenade or shooting a rocket at a stockpile or just at any other grenades lying around (Had this feature in other Halo games but barely ever happened. It was like it was never there, that’s how rare it was to see it happen)

Give the Sniper back its night vision (even in multiplayer).

Don’t show anyone’s rank on Xbox Live. It just makes it very competitive which is fine but then people start to stand by and mod or cheats just for the level. If you didn’t show the level it would give people a whole less incentive to cheat.

A map Editor for the Console. Far Cry did this and it was an instant success because of it.

Do not make in any way like an RPG like some people are saying it should be, this is a shooter and should stay that way. Don’t even compromise with them. It is (the franchise) known for being a shooter so keep it that way.

Keep the Halo 2 style health, it was a great system.

Add in water vehicles, this could open up so many different possibilities for multiplayer maps.

Thanks to anyone who decided to read this and I hope Bungie has seen some of this and considers any of these ideas.

You do know that Bungie can't take direct ideas from fans do to legal problems, right?

Not the exact ideas, but fans can sure plant ideas and let them expand apon them. It would be in their best interest to listen to their fans. Not only that but it is not like I have a patent on anything I just wrote.

Aside from the fact that you are on the wrong forum you also have the wrong ideas.
