I'm going to be brief because quite frankly there is a lot of tension among CMT right now. In all honesty, CMT has suffered from a hugeass case of "worst team communication ever" since we moved into what was supposed to be the bug-fixing stage of the project. I recieved a build of the mod on the 21st of June which had new content in it all of a sudden. After I raised that flag, it was dismissed as something that has been in there, but not done properly or something. Heck, I'll just tell you. The rocket launcher all of a sudden had what appeared to be ripped sounds, a new effect bug when firing, and homing capabilities. This is a big problem for me, because not only is the rocket not supposed to home-in on targets in the mod, but it removes all reasons for having the anti-air rocket launcher (where the homing ability is the feature of the weapon) and it makes the profile description I have in the manual obsolete.

This isn't the first time it's happened. Some examples are the SMG, Aparition, needles, etc. What's appearing to be the last straw is a new addition to the first person display. For some unknown-to-God reason, new first person arms and helmet were put in today and they are somewhat broken. For some other unknown-to-God reason, the question of delaying the mod to fix this stuff has come about.

And what's being done about it right now? I dunno, cause Masters went to bed a bit ago. So there's a few things that might happen. One, it can all be resolved by going back to a recent build and be released on time. Two, Masters can keep pushing for the new content that's randomly popped up and delay the mod. Three, everyone gets pissed, declares their work as something not to be used in the mod and it dies. So, enjoy the heads up.

I am personally going to see CMT through, but after this i'm done with all this. So, let everything Zeph has to say set in. And note we could have a release in a few short days if we use some older content that beats out some newer, all we have to do is backtrack...so hope the grump Masters will do so to stick to his release while Zeph and I kick arse on the manual.

I don't know weather to be upset or pleased, one one hand, there will be more time for working out bugs and for me to get a new graphics card, but on the other hand, a delayed game. I choose the second one, push for new content to work.

Yeah, we can wait a few more days/weeks. Its not like we havent been waiting for Halo2 Vista, for, what, 3 years?

I'm very excited about this mod, but if you need more time to make it, then get more time. I vote for number 2. I don't care when it comes out, I just care if it comes out good :D

Wow that's interesting to see. Three days before the release someone introduced something new. There two things you need to pull off a project like this: talent and organization. You guys obvoiusly have the talent, and had the organization to get it this far. But something broke down at the last minute. You guys need to get everyone together for a meeting and decide where you are going from here, write down a plan, make sure everyone understands(they don't have to agree with the plan but they need to agree to implement the plan that has been decided on--this is critical) what they need to do, and then do it. I think a delay is inevitable because to have to back out the changes that are causing the problems. Good luck your progress to this point has been impressive, don't give up now.

Iggy hit the nail on the head. That's pretty much what we strived for when this started to come up. However, we're not all from a uniform location, so spur of the moment things can really take a toll. We're spread out across the United States, and perhaps even Austrailia and Europe too, all with different schedules and our own lives.
