I like a few of your ideas but for the most part it seemed like you wanted to change the game from "Halo 3" to "Halofield: Modern Combat". If you want to play battlefield then go play it, no need to stay with Halo. Halo is completely different from battlefield in that the game is more up close and faster paced. It should stay that way because that is what makes it different from almost every other shooter on the market.

Many people don't understand that the Dropships, and all the huge things I thought up would ONLY be on the largest of maps (think multiple times the size of Containment)..

..have you ever played Containment? There are not enough vehicles to make that map fun..

With the 360's processing power, I'm sure they will be able to add much larger maps, and have much more people playing, and large maps aren't really run-and-gun anyway. They're too big for that.

not sure if I understood what you said about havok. havok is most certainly not a 360 engine. havok was used by halo 2, half-life 2 (heavily modified as i understand it), and several other games that werent on the 360. furthermore, havok is a physics engine, not a game engine. havok merely controls the vehicles physics and physcis in general. the actual halo 2 engine is not havok. the reason it was so glitchy is (I'm making a logical assumption here) because havok is 3rd party software and the halo 2 engine is 1st party. bungie did not develop havok and so it doesnt interface perfectly and they were probably not experts of the engine at the time. now that they have some experience i thin kwe can expect more fine-tuned physics.

also, I'm 100% for the flamethrower. the main advatagges of a flame thrower is that you can use it to conceal your body like in halo pc, and you can spread the damage out over an area of effect. plus it's totally unique from other halo weapons.

That's exactly what I'm saying, the game you would want most Bungie to focus on most of the time is the BTB type of game. This would severly hurt how the game would be played on the smaller, more Halo typical type of maps like Midship or Chill Out. If you want to play a game with big maps and dropships and helicopters, thats fine, but that is not what Halo is.

No, I don't want that to be their main focus, but they definately tried o do it with containment, but that didn't work (for multiple reasons)

All the bugs should be worked out, and we could have like 5 huge maps...along with the more "halo-style" maps too.

Sorry Buddy, but Artialry strikes are for the Battlefeild series, I mean for crsit sakes man were Spartans or Elites, we are the Best of the Best.

Your play costomization ideas DON'T work, you can't have people in different Armor because each does their own things, some have different helth readings, and other crap. Elites look all the same except Honor Guard, And why the hell is a gender for Spartans needed, theres two diffrences smaller crouch plate adn larger Breast Plate, jese lad.

Hand to hand combat dosen't seem great, this isn't ghost reacon, we don't command our Marines.

Neadeler shotgun dosen't make sence, if anything it would be a Fuel Rod Shotgun.

The 360 contoller has no black botton, and please tell me what the diffrence in between a Guass and rocket Hog is tell me please!

There is no reason why one handed guns should not be Dual weilded, jsut becasue you can't beat a person with an SMG and Plasma Rifle dosen't mean that thw World can't, I personaly have killed many wit hsingles SMG, it's not very hard R, A, R,R, B.

I agree with you on Falling Debris, it should stay there, Example log falls you can sue it as cover.

thats what I hate about your Ideas, Oh yea I belive theres two Survival ideas in that thread, so which one.

The Rocket Warthog, like the PC version, has a rocket launcher instead of the normal chaingun. The Gauss Warthog, like the one in Halo 2, has a Gauss Cannon instead of the chaingun.

yea im all up for the jackal shiled but how will that decrease your view, or where you can shoot, idk i think it would be too much of a hassle to carry it and not worth it

Read the books. It would be a feature that makes huge maps..fun. Have you ever played on Containment? Notice how boring it is? Imagine that...5 times the size..with Dropships, and an artillery strike (option) to vary up the gameplay, and keep large maps fun..rather than boring and a waste of space?

Immersion, pal, Immersion. you could tell more things, like the slightly slimmer arms, and slimmer waist/wider hips.

Hand to hand combat would just be a neat feature, just like meleeing..why not have th option for this for the people who enjoy making Halo based movies? It would not hurt regular gameplay at all.

Not really..Fual Rod shells explode on contact..Why don't you play using the Needler shotty before bashing on it =P

Black Button = Right Bumper
The difference? Rocket Hogs are stronger, but less accurate (try it out on Halo PC)

Actually, I gave a reason why the Magnum shouldn't be dual wielded (much more recoil, and larger slugs requires it to be a two handed weapon now)

yea im all up for the jackal shiled but how will that decrease your view, or where you can shoot, idk i think it would be too much of a hassle to carry it and not worth it

I gues it would blur part of your view (but it is see through), and yo ucould shoot with your left hand duall wielded weapon..Making something that can be overpowered have weaknesses is what makes them balanced..

The jackal shield is a nice idea... I dont think it will be a BIG problem...

Ok, but with all of the stuff you listed it would take months just to design it all let alone balance all of it out, which was a problem in Halo 2.

And speaking of balancing problems, the weapons you listed have multiple issues. You want to decrease the auto-aim drasticly (good idea) but then you also want to decrease damage. That doesn't make sense, because it would slow the game down and someone who is able to hit another person with the least shots needed then that person should be rewarded with a kill and not have the "victim" just run around a corner and let their sheilds come back.

On the topic of shields, the recharge time on the shields should be increased. In Halo 2 as mentioned above you could just run around the corner and hop back into the fight. This is also why I think the health bar should come back. I was suprised that you didn't mention this since you wanted a more realistic game. Having a health bar meant there were consequence for doing stupid things during the game even if you managed to escape.

We don't need a jackel shield, It's just too far out there. Even if it was in the game it WOULD need a charge on it to keep it from becoming the uber easy weapon the sword was.

In my opinion the sword should not be let into Halo 3. The reason why the sword was so powerful was NOT because the others weapons weren't strong enough, it was because it was to easy to use and did too much damage at too long of range and had no way of being blocked.

They've been working on Halo 3 for two years..and still have more than a whole year to work on it..

Yes, but the BR also had limited range, and if it had the range of a Pistol, and no auto aim it would be a great weapon if you practiced enough..a 4sk might not be good though so I said 5sk..did I mention I though the ROF should be "upped" as well?

We still have health, but it's juts hidden. I think the Health bar should return to our view, but still recharge like it did in Halo 2..since we're wearing the same armor and all..

Actually, it's not too far out there. MC used a Jackal shield to save himself from being trowned by th first pair of Hunters the Spartans met up with. I also said there should be a charge on it that constantly gets lower and lower, and when it reaches zero, it needs to recharge to 100% until it's usable again. Also, if it's getting shot the charge depletes faster.

I like it all except for a few things like there shouldn't be a helicopter and all the Halo multiplayer maps from Halo, Halo PC, and Halo 2 should be included not just the popular ones. In matchmaking there should be debris, and random weather/time of day. Finally I really like the idea for the campaign about introducing the other Spartans and having them included in the campaing.

Yes, if a drop ship gets to low to the ground, it gets harder to control, and if your nose hits..you flip =)

I'm only making it harder to kill people by removing the auto aim - but that's because Halo needs to take more skill to compete (Just like Halo CE did) while keeping the cool new weapons, and features (like dual wielding)..just balancing anything and everything.

Halo 2 had way too much auto aim, and Host advantage was too prominent..

A helicopter would actuall be vital when you have 24+ people fighting on a map 5 times the siaze of Containment/Coagulation ;)

Well to be honest if this was any other game then Halo then I would want a helicopter, but since this is over 200 years in the future and just the atmosphere of the games a Helicopter wouldn't fit will into the Halo series.

There was actually going to be a Black-Hawk-esque Chopper in Halo 2..but..not time to get it right, just like the ATV and the newer Warthogs..

A Helicopter would be pretty Awesome (though the Propellor might not be the main portion..and it would have thrusters on it like a Pelican)
