Ninjas operate on a different standard than we do. They have proven themselves worthy and, especially in a time of darkness like this, they are allowed some fun.

Yes, in the past, there have been some ninjas that didn't exactly fit the bill and that is why they are relegated to to being spoke about as "in the past." We should not and are not capable of reporting ninjas. Lighten up OP ;)

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

The truth of the matter is, they should not. Sure, sometimes they make decisions that may seem incorrect, or mistakes, whatever you want to refer to them as. They're people, volunteers in fact. And sometimes, we won't always agree with their actions.

The Web Team selected people whom they believe they can trust. Therefore, having a system that could allow thousands of people to team up on a ninja, and report their posts causing to condense, or have a high number of reports against them is ridiculous. Why? Because the mass population here for all intensive purposes, are retarded.

We as a whole cannot be trusted to not abuse an automated system for reporting the people who dish out the punishments here. It wouldn't take very long for a group of idiots to team up and start targeting specific Moderators.

But as well as it isn't really an official system, if a moderator does something terribly inappropriate, PM another Mod or Achronos, because if they cross the line for what is appropriate and just behavior, you won't be the only one to notice. As such, many more people would complain, and if it was fitting for the circumstance, they would be stripped of their title.

So far, no Modaerator has done something that stupid yet. It may bother certain individuals personally, their certain actions, but at the end of that day, it is nothing worth getting all worked up for.

When you usually report someone who is of a higher position than yourself you report up, so since he is a master forum ninja who do you think you should PM?

There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

I was there for that thread. The aggressor wasn't Foman, it was the guy telling yorkie not to sign his signatures. Foman was in the right, putting the member in his place.

Also, telling someone that they shouldn't put signatures under their posts in a thread about discrimination is purely off-topic.

Nobody cares if he doesn't like the signature, he just needs to be like the PB&J haters and get over it.

I have no problem with them trying to have fun, but the example in my post wasn't that. That was pure hostility, and it should not be displayed by someone of higher rank like a ninja.
He was just trying to teach him a lesson without actually sending him a warning or banning him. Yes, it may not have been the best way to go about it, but there would be no reason to report FoMan for it. He knows what he is doing.

There is a way. Shoot a PM to DeeJ if you have a problem or find something wrong.

Since this thread seems to be more of a report than an actual suggestion, I'm just going to go ahead and close it before it gets too messy in here.

The report feature would be abused more than usual in the case of the ninjas. Think about it...

More users would report them just for the heck of it, not because they deserve it.

If you have a problem with a moderator, PM another moderator. What good would reporting a moderator do when that moderator is the one that chooses what happens in the queue?
:/

  • 09.12.2012 1:13 PM PDT

If that was recon, he would ban himself.

Personally, I support what he did, some people just need to be yelled at...and honestly Foman could've just banned the guy...then people will cry unfair ban.

+1 for you good sir.

Suck it up and take it up with DeeJ or Achronos, not the forum.
