Did anyone notice the Elite minor fighting alongside Master Chief against a Promethean Knight? I think it suggests a team up early in the campaign or very late. It has been said that the Prometheans and Storm are working together yet we see Elites getting pwned by them. Or it's just a temporary truce.

1:11 - Reminds me of the start of Two Betrayals, Chief and Cortana at a control center or panel and surrounded by Knights.
I think that's a boss battle or opening up to one.

Posted by: HipiO7
6:20 - Watcher reviving Knight... That's going to be a -blam!- on Legendary...
We'll see. Based on what I've seen in Spartan Ops videos, it looks like it takes some time.

Posted by: HipiO7
6:38 - Elite gets owned on Ghost by Knight. Knight looks imposing in that image.
It's about time the AI actually try to stop an incoming vehicle. I hope Hunters will do that too. They were roadblocks in Halo 2 and Reach while they were able to dodge in CE and Halo 3.

Posted by: HipiO7
Also, is it me or do the Elites have the same combat animations as Halo Reach? :/
Yeah they seem mostly unchanged from Reach with a few new tricks (Rangers try to flank). At least their health isn't massive like in Halo 2, Halo 3, or Reach (at least that's what I saw in a SDCC video, Spartan Ops mission on Legendary).

He said that "we're not just threatning one corn of the galaxy, we are threatning everything" That got my interest, any thoughts ?

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

That makes no sense.

Halo CE - Halo 3, the whole galaxy was at risk. The Flood being released once more into the galaxy and the whole Halo array primed to fire? How they say it was one corner of the galaxy eludes me. Perhaps he meant to say the whole universe?

That's what I took it to mean, when he said "everything."

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Er... No idea how you came to that conclusion when Sentinels are confirmed to be in Halo 4, as you can see them in several clips.

Halo 2 models in CryEngine 2 or 3?

He linked the wrong video. In the new ViDoc released, there are numerous instances of Aggressor Sentinels.

I have no problem with the capability of the Promethean Knight or its backstory. I just think it looks awful, too top-heavy, way way waaaaay too tall for a Spartan to fight so easily and the glowing skull is just the lamest feature I've seen in any Halo game.

I mean...... it has a glowing skull. Sense, this makes none.

Regarding the skull, the Knights are supposed to be like coffins, containing the dead within (keeping with the death motifs surrounding Requiem, the name itself invoking images of death). The skulls might be the byproduct of the organic that it contains.

See I have no problem with the symbolism and underlying reason behind that....... I just have issue with the fact that its a glowing skull.

I just don't see a Forerunner designing those suits and thinking "You know.... these could really use a glowing skull". It's frankly so bizarre that I can't take them seriously, let alone the issue that they're almost twice the size of a Spartan and yet a Spartan seems to be able to walk all over them.

I expected them to be tougher considering their hi-tech nature.

Have you played halo 4 ? Demo or anything ?

I like the concept behind the Prometheans, but they still do look a little goofy. I don't know why we can't just fight revived Forerunners in fancy Combat Skin. The only instance in Halo-4 where that might happen is when MC fights Didact. Plus if the leaked snippets of the script from the vidoc are true then the fight doesn't end well for Sierra-117.

That isn't his point he is saying he doesn't like the idea of actually fighting "forerunners" because they shouldn't have any trouble dispatching the covenant or human forces.

I remember Frankie saying the glowing skull is down to the Prometheans' adaptability. They adapt to the enemy they're fighting. Their design means they can't be assimilated by the Flood, and the scatter shot is another result of this. The skull is simply the Knight using psychology to deter or distract its enemy. In this case a human.

In reality a screaming skull would, I think, be quite effective. Here you have a twelve foot tall alien/robot and all of a sudden it projects a glowing skull at you. Time to run like hell.

Pretty much hardlight central in Requiem. Hardlight is the answer to everything, Forerunner's version of 42.

The Commander looked so much more distinct in the concept than what we have now (just some markings, otherwise, is basically the same, even the sword is unchanged).

Also, the one with the ring around his face, what the Lancer would have looked like, that should have been included! Looks like a face shield, a la Halo 2 Engineer. Maybe it could have fired a projectile (they have glowing skulls. It's not inconceivable for them to "breathe" some type of fiery projectile).
