Halo 4's forge allows grouping, duplication, locking, more precise editing with magnets, and offers greater user control and precision with the enhanced interface.
And I don't see how dynamic lighting is a bad thing. It will make the maps feel more realistic and polished and the 3 new environments along with it will add variation instead of the all-grey that we had in Reach.
If you'd rather stick with Reach I don't see the problem, but I'm not. I don't think I'll play Reach at all when Halo 4 comes out.
whats the point in locking exactly? i don't see a need for it an undo/redo option would be better and as for magnets and duping those are great additions but i'm still prolly gonna stick with reach's forge.
the reason why i dislike the dynamic lighting is the fact that it's realistic, i don't want halo to look more realistic.
thus the three new environments won't change the greyness, it's not the environments which is the problem (though i'd love a forge-able space environment) it's the pallette which is the problem, theres not enough objects in reach i miss the radio's and wire spools from halo 3 along with the civvie stuff in foundry, imo it would be cool to have a forerunner pallet, a civvie pallette and a covvy pallette
