Subject: Bungie has been scamming us for years

Since they first came out with Halo, they haven't created a new series since. It's obvious that they're practically making money off of our mindless loyalty.
As everyone knows, they make tons of cash off of this site. Though they refuse to admit it, they have got us coming back for no reason, even though they will not tell us what they're working on. Why? Hopefully not because they've lost interest in us, but we can't know for sure. The question is why we even decide to come back.
That being said, I've reached the conclusion that they've brainwashed the majority of their fans through some sort of hidden device in their games or something. I simply won't stand for it.
ITT: We discuss Bungie's psychopathic marketing scheme.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Well not really because the ads are for the community forum.

Either way, it sounds like it is past someone's bed time.

They make tons of money from ALL these ads.

New users are instantly hooked, think about it. And nobody really "likes" the site, per se,
otherwise none of us would feel so bad about visiting it. I mean, I don't mean to come off as ostentatious, but seriously. Can anyone here really say they love Bnet? Srs. Not even Achronos does. We all come here, bit by bit, day by day, little by little, but can you honestly say you have a legitimate reason why you do? It can only be attributed to brain/mind control, which is not exactly ethical. But I mean, hey, if Marlboro can make money off of people's addictions, logic dictates Bungie should too.

At least someone got it, unlike Ken.

I think this was supposed to be a joke but the wall of text made it unfunny.

"We knew the world would not be the same.
A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita.
Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds...'
I suppose we all thought that one way or another."
- J. Robert Oppenheimer

That's nice.

They asked what I wanted to be when I grew up;

I wrote down happy.

They told me I didn't understand the assignment;

I told them they don't understand life. - John Lennon

You won't stand for it? Then what will you do about it?

The wall of text is the only reason I think this is possibly serious.

I was always suspicious of that.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I like to think that I love this place. If I didn't, would I still be coming back? I played the first three Halos, but ever since Halo 3, I was definitely not a fan of the games that followed. Brainwashed? I don't think so.

I think you attempted to follow the trend of creating an occasional, off-the-wall hit thread like a few people have done lately and fell a little bit short.

I rarely see it in here, not counting the blatantly obvious ones

Even ken, now a grown man, has feelings of self-disgust when he visits the site. That shows at
least that Bungie hasn't completely controlled him -- yet. We can all relate to crazed, deformed beasts at some point in our online career, and I get the idea that for most of the visitors of this site, obviously Bungie.net was that one website that caused you to legitimately consider suicide. But without the self-loathing, we would all be mindless minions.

Most of you need to understand that the whole "resistance is futile" concept that this company is attempting to squeeze into our heads is one that must be denied entry. Just let the resistance coarse through your veins like rattlesnake venom. This brain control is something that must be annihilated before it gets out of hand. I wouldn't personally be surprised if the president or rambunctious Romney something to do with this; hell, I bet Bush was the one who got Bungie
on the idea. I now call upon you to break free of the spell; no more giving in. It is time for us to incinerate the puppet master and regain control of our minds.
