Subject: Halo 3 matchmaking

Will Halo 3 incorperate all the new features that the Xbox 360 live has to offer, Like the TrueSkill Matchmaking? If so wouldn't that sort of eliminate deranking? Because it wouldn't just be an accumulated number anymore, It would be an average overall skill level. or will it be ELO style ranking?

Will the Dynamic Feedback system be used? If so, doesn't that mean when you get matched up with a cheater you can leave feedback that will make it so you dont play with them again? or when you search for a game, and lets just say you're an -blam!- with a generally bad attitude in most of the games you play, you get matched with other -blam!-s that have generally bad attitudes?

Will there be Achievements in halo 3 that add to your Gamerscore? like achievements for beating campaign on legendary, getting 10 multyplayer kills, 100 kills, 1000, etc.

Will there be any sort of leaderboards for things like total accumulated kills in matchmaking, most deaths, most double kills and other assorted things?

These are just a few things that i have been wondering about lately because I believe that the new features that Xbox live utilizes will add up to really enjoyable gameplay.

Feel free to post any ideas or comments that you may have on this subject.

probably not, you cant just choose not to play with people again. If you ran into someone really good (non cheater) you could ask not to play him again. After awhile he wouldnt have anyone to play. First because it is hard enough to find games if you have a rank of 45+ second if the people that level blocked you it would be near impossible

I'd say, yes most of what you've writte will happen. Especially the points, every 360 game has 1000 points and Halo 3 will too. Some will probably be in campaign and some will be in multiplayer too I would think.

Thats a good point. Perhaps it could only lessen the odds that you would be matched with that person again if there are other suitable matches for your skill level. But if there isn't a sufficient amount of matches then it resorts to matching you with any person on your skill level, regardless of feedback.

Actually the way that Feedback works is that it only decreases the chances of getting you matched up with that person again. If you two were the only ones looking for a game than it would definately match you two up.
