In Halo there was a shot trail and Night Vision... Halo 2 there is only a Shot trail... Do u think it Halo 3 should there be a shot trail still and do u think they should put Night vision back in...
I think they should leave the shot trail and should put Night Vision back in n maybe have a touch of heat Vision on the cov sniper ... Lets hear wut u think...

this isn't rainbow six. They took out night vision for a reason.

Just because they didn't want it to look like Rainbow six? There should be a better reason. Cool human sniper night vision and cov has thermal. Good balance, nice idea, i like it!

edit: oh yea and trails, definetly. No more camping when you immediately give away your position when you fire.

I like the idea. It would however add a formiddable challenge that would most likely anger most opponents. For Single player mode though it would -blam!- rock. In multi player it would be a cool feature if paired with the weather idea. Such as on cold days the thermal works better than on hot days when it would just wash out the display, the same with night vision, only you'd need a predominately dark stage, and have the ambient lighting affect it accordingly. . . just thoughts. . . . also since these systems are electronic, have the possibility of rain effect them as well. . . . or the water pools from warlock, coag, and sanctuary. . .

termal vision would have an advantage over night vision since termal works even better than normal vision and nightvision only works in dark area's.

yeah but like sarcomain said that would be kool if there was weather changes on each map...Hot cold raining snowing fair day light out dark out ect... then each sniper has its advantages and disadvantages

If the whether could change, and the time of day was different for each game, I wouldn't want nightvision on the sniper rifle, and thermal vision on the beam rifle... It'd be stupid. If it were night time, you'd expect to be able to run around without being visible. Well, night vision and thermal vision kind of ruin that...

meh........

Weather change would be sweet. Btw. Why do you make it sound as if the "trail" does not exist in H2? It does.

In a sick way, I somewhat like the idea of not having the trail. It would make it more of a challenge to find the sniper. It would suck bad, if you are the team that can't seem to find him, but ultimately, I think it would jack up the skill level needed to really play Halo by 75%. Or make the trail a weather sensitive item. Could weather, rainy/foggy weather. Perhaps also a laser sight that would show up nice in fog. Who knows. The possibilites are endless. I think that Bungie should consult some military professionals for the weapons and tactics for the multiplayer aspects of Halo 3.
