Turn my laggggg onnnn.... jk

I am re-posting this from the flood because it was in the wrong section.
Why Isn't there extra credits for wins in a row? Reach has absolutely no competitive side.. I like to see how much of a winning streak I can keep and over the past few weeks I am 52 wins and 3 losses in team slayer, going in myself, no friends.

So carrying my teammates every game gets me no extra credits, they share the same credits for going negative. The credit system is made for the noobiest of noobs, it has no meaning.

Something like this would change everything:

5 wins in a row - 5,000 extra credits
10 wins in a row - 10,000 extra credits
20 = 20,000
and so on..

It would need to be in a ranked playlist where no one could boost of course.

your incentive to win is to win.

Winning Incentive
This is yours:
I like to see how much of a winning streak I can keep and over the past few weeks I am 52 wins and 3 losses in team slayer

Mine is that I won the game. Then I can play the next one and try again. Just like how I played on LAN in halo and halo 2. You play because you enjoy the game, you try to win because that is the point of the game, you win and you are happy you are the victor, then the cycle starts anew.

I firmly believe that the reason people don't enjoy games now as much as they used to is BECAUSE they give incentives like achievements or imaginary space money (credits).

Rather than people playing the games out of sheer enjoyment of the game itself, whether by multiplayer where you try to beat the other team (in whatever game mode you play from straight fragging the opponents to objectives, and anything in between), or campaign where you try to beat the game, leaderboards or other scoring systems where you try to top you or other people's scores, etc.; people now play in opposition to what the game mode dictates when they try to gain these 'incentives' by intentionally not trying to win so that the games last longer, or not playing with their team because they're trying for some completely irrelevant achievement number, or because they want to show off an imaginary kill count by boosting, etc. Frankly, it sickens me to even describe it.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

Credits aren't competitive based... So why reward extra credits for wins in a row?

If there isn't a skill based ranking system you'd have to rework the progression system to at least encourage winning and improving, even if its miniscule.

Bungie did not do even this with Reach.

getting cR from win streaks is a great idea.

you get credits mainly based on your performace in game as well as commendations and challenges

"To me, a nice triple kill with the sniper is infinitely more impressive than any Living Dead Killionaire"

Does flaming people on forums count as an esport?

I'm a commendation/achievement/statistics freak.

you get credits mainly based on just staying in the game (completion bonus) to the end as well as a negligible amount for commendations and challenges

Fixed that for you.

You just found that out?

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Because people who played in parties would have better chances of winning those than randoms like myself.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.
