I feel like it was a lot of extra work for DeeJ.
Yes, Hoobla. Yes. The ReverSack was a bit of a logistical nightmare in its original manifestation. Look at it this way...
When I ask the Bungie Community for questions, I am drawing from a pool of thousands of people. Of that, hundreds are bold and inquisitive enough to ask questions. Those questions are distilled down based on what I might provoke a good answer, what might appeal to the Bungie panel, and what won't get me fired for discussing. Once the Bungie panel weighs in, I have about a dozen participants who completing the ritual. Thus, every step in the process refines the dialogue to a delicious vintage.
When I reverse the flow, the final edit is like trying to drink from a firehose. When Bungie asks the questions, and a thousand passionate gamers answer, it becomes really hard to choose what makes the cut. This is not to say that I am lazy - I have a hard time disqualifying anything that any of you have to say when you are being sincere about what who you are or why you love games. That's all great stuff.
So...
The Reverse Mail Sack idea is flawed in its original execution. However, if I select a target audience to participate, it might be more doable. Another idea that popular last week was to conduct more interviews with notable community members (I do listen). If we fuse that idea with the notion of a ReverSack, we just might have something. Unfortunately, this requires again that I play favorites, which I don't think anyone enjoys.
So, how should I choose those among you who should answer?
Reach tournament> Rumble Pit> have a hat with 8 pieces of paper 1-8 and pick the place of that person in the results. how to narrow down to 8... idk, and when the new IP comes out something else will gotta give... just pick faves, we all trust your judgement.
