Subject: When you think of the word Phoenix related to Bungie....

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am hoping the game is an RTS or atleast an FPS.

I thought Phoenix was supposed to be some kind of RTS if I remember correctly and it makes sense seeing the faction shirts.

Also lucky, Deej always removed me from his friends list after carnages. I never knew he kept anyone.
RTS? I'm not a big RTS guy, but as long as it's available on consoles, I trust Bungie.

I would love a good RTS on console. Something like Myth but with aliens would be cool.

But generally RTS games play better on the PC.

To throw this out there, this could also be an Aerospace game.

For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

Why call it stupid? Thought Bungie is trying to help out these folks.

There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

This seems to be very plausible as an Aerospace game.

But Destiny? Highly doubt it.

Very interesting. I am perplexed.

I like how in this article it says "I wrote a big, epic story, a real gut-churning tale of empire, conquest, and mystical destiny."

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Sadly not. You will now be excommunicated from life.

The Tank

It has been confirmed for awhile that the muscular/skeletal structures of the characters in bungies new IP are much much larger than average beings. The devs at Bungie nicknamed the project "pheonix", as in Marcus Pheonix from gears of war, because of the characters large stature.

I thought this was old news, I guess not.

ya know, im proud to be an inverted player, its like we're a rare breed or something

Do NOT send me Recruitment Letters, doing so will get you blocked faster than you can say "Huh?"

Not sure if it's been said. But in one of the Podcasts it was mentioned that every Halo game was code named Phoenix at one time or the other during Dev. Looks like they're just using the code again.

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

I'd say that most likely possibility is that Phoenix is the internal code name for the the Destiny alpha, in the same way that Pimps at sea was used as the code name for Halo 3.

Phoenix itself was supposedly cancelled a while ago because it was "fun for about five minutes." Perhaps a few ideas might have been salvaged, but we don't know enough about what phoenix in it's original state to make further conjectures.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.
