I was looking at some very old threads in my private group and got to thinking. When the site gets updated will we lose all that info of old archived threads? I would not like to lose any of that info but rather keep it for posterity.

I don't think so. If that were to happen I'm sure the web team would give us a heads ups.

Welcome to the town of "Diligence." I'm Mayor Due.

Who knows. I think Bungie loves it's history too much to start deleting big portions of it. Perhaps save your stuff elsewhere for safety's sake.

Based on how they handled the deletion of the Optimatch forum 2-3 years ago, I have to assume that they'd let us know in advance so we could at least save what we wanted.

You could always print some of the threads you deem a historical significance.

Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

I think they're just as sentimental as us about everything around here. They'll give us a warning.

I don't see why any old threads will be deleted. Not unless the delete the forum.

2-3 years ago? Wasn't it like 11 months ago?

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

Well the site has gone through a few overhauls already in the past and it's all still there, I don't see any reason for it to go this time.

Correct.
I don't know what's better: That heads up or the first reply?

Unless the threads are in forums that are in line for deletion, they should be fine. There are still threads that are here from the early 2000's. The only forums I see getting deleted (possibly) are the Halo forums. However, the games are so much a part of the company, I don't see them going away.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

You mean for the Webteam to make a new forum, exclusively for archived threads?
I don't know.

Known by some, but not by all.

It makes you wonder how much storage the Bungie servers have.
