We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

For a quite a while now there has been a bug where whenever a post is edited or quoted any links in it gain a space. It isn't major, but can become very annoying when one is continually editing a large post. It seems unlikely that this would not have been noticed after so long, but it does not appear that any attempt has been made to address the issue. Any comments?

I posted on this a while ago (immediately after the most recent new hotness, if I recall correctly) but decided to make another attempt.

If in doubt, empty the clip.

It does get annoying, but I doubt they will fix it anytime soon if they even fix it at all.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

'Tis the bane of constantly edited link-filled posts.

Of course the bane to that, as we all know, is the backspace key. However, it is a slow bane to implement, and I wouldn't mind if we didn't have to use it in the first place. But whether that bug shall be smited remains to be seen...

I guess if you have a lot of links in a post you could save it to a text file then when you want to edit your post just copy and past it from the text file and wah-laa, no spaces. A good temporary solution.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

I actually used that once. It's much easier than editing your post to delete the spaces, especially with a lot of links. But it would still be nice if we didn't have to worry about it.

I believe I shall use that, thank you.

I could be wrong (probably am) but I believe this site was created from scratch, which is why there are a lot of bugs still. Then again, I could just be wrong.
