Same here.
Arby didn't hate Brutes like his fellow Elites. He merely didn't like the way they behaved (taking prisoners, setting traps, eating humans).
I wish Great Journey's ending cutscene showed Arby kneeling over Tartarus' corpse or looking down on it instead of focusing on Miranda for the entire duration...Brutes eat humans?-on Crow's Nest, Arbiter says 'Spartan, the Brutes have taken your soldiers, as prisoners or as meat for their bellies, I do not know'
-on The Ark, the Chieftain talks about feasting on Chief's bones
-on The Ark in gameplay, the Brutes can be seen eating some undefined substance. I highly suspect that we were meant to imagine them eating human parts. It's not like the Brutes eat their own troops... do they?
In the Halo 2 Introductory Arbiter mission they wanted to feast on Thel Vadam...I thought that was feeding him to the Jackals?
"They could use the meat."
"Them?! What about us? My belly aches, and his flesh is seared just the way I like it."
