I was thinking, playing as the arbiter wasnt the best part of Halo 2 for me. I like to play as the MC because that is the story i am used to. Helping the enemy just doesnt make sense. But i think that he should stay in the finish the story..

Deep, intresting character, given crappy levels to play in the game. not his fault.

That is because you sir, are an idiot. The Arbiter kicked major ass and was a very deep and conflicted character. I think it is almost guaranteed, due to the story's current situation, that the Arbiter will be back in full, playable force in Halo 3.

I agree they did give him some of the worse levels. But the Uprising is fairly fun. The only arbitir level i play

I loved playing as the Arbiter because he is just such a cool character. I like everything about him, specially because with him, you can use sneak attacks, and just have so much fun by toying with Grunts and other aliens using his camo.

I thought that the Arbiter was a new twist to the game and shed some light on the Covenant’s side of the story. I also thought that two of his missions (Quarantine Zone and Sacred Icon) were the two most graphically intense missions in the game.

I didn't like the Arbitor that much but that's only because he had the worst missions. He's also is part of the story,

the arbiter was awesome like a teddy bear. and ya the levels sucked, mostly because they were confusing and dark and you didn't have a flashlight. but it would make no sense for bungie not to keep him in halo 3. movies that do that, like x men 3 and nightcrawler, suck.

dude playing as the arbitir was the worst part about halo 2. it was soooo boring. you had to play on -blam!-y levels, starting out with a plasma rifle sucked, and to top it off you were fighting the stupid flood with a plasma rifle. at least let me kill a human and take his battle rifle so i can kill the flood..... i just skip playing those levels now

yeah, i thought the first few arbiter levels and the last few were very well done and were fun to play. the middle ones where you were mostly trudging through endless forerunner corridors as well as the flood infested snowy areas were good enough, but they didnt really make me think "wow that's awesome" like all the MC levels did. I found that in halo 2, I loved every single master chief level, and the arbiter had several boring levels in the middle.

I would be dissapointed if we couldnt play as the arbiter in halo 3 or at least someone on delta halo at the conclusion of halo 2 because if we dont then we are missing a huge part of the storyline. it would suck to be playing the chief in all these awesome levels and then suddenly miranda, johnson, and the arbiter arrive. I would want to know how they got off delta halo and arrived on earth.

What are you guys talking about...the levels the arbiter played in were some of the best in halo 2...espacially the environments...think of the level where you had to take out the heretic leader...when you were escaping from the place while it was free falling and the music was pounding...i know my heart skipped a beat

Each time someone stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That hope is three little numbers: 1 - 1 - 7.

There is hope in us all. We gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face. We must do the thing which we think we cannot do; stand with the Master Chief and Finish this Fight!

Okay fellow Spartans, lets get one thing straight here, no one likes the Arbiter and the minority that do like him are indeed a minority, but the one advangtage that the Arbiter does gives us is the insight in the Covenant story and past.

Plus the thing that bugged mwe the most is the way his hud resembled so much the MC but only in a different colour. Really Bungie should of given us something better than that. Anothering interesting note regarding the Arbiter is the fact that he is stuck on another Halo Ring with Sgt. Jonhson another great inspired character in the Halo Universe, so maybe they are going to team up to find the Ark.

In any case the Arbiter is there not for playabitlity but for stoaryline purposes, but some of his levels were quite fun!

Do you like being flammed?

Anyways I do think you are wrong, the first thing that most peole are going to do is to finish the storyline first, play some coop and then jump into the multiplayer.

You are so wrong its unbelievable, whilst the multiplayer is the backbone to the Halo games the heart that beats is the Single player and the storyline that we all have come to loeve over the years.

I bet you have not even read the books have you?

The Arbiter was too involved with the storyline of Halo 2 to just be taken out of the game. He was a character just like the Master Chief, with his own conflicts and obstacles, and by the end of the game I ended up seeing him as an equal with the Master Chief.

He's really become a character most players can care about, and I'd love to play him again in Halo 3.

Unrelated P.S,
No one can really diss the Elites and Grunts anymore, as they've forged an unofficial alliance with the Humans.

I think that anyone who can't spell Abiter shouldn't start a poll about him.

On the P.S statement only the Elites and Gunts on the fourth halo ring are fighting with the Humans, the rest are fighting the Propets, Jackals and Brutes so not all the Elites are fighting along side the humans!
