I fully stand behind this idea with my Mythic status. All members of this site should be held accountable, even moderators. This is a very pressing issue.
Sure, they should but there are always times where simply yelling at someone in a forceful manner can suffice.

When is yelling not forceful?

Oh quit taking yourselves so seriously. It is not a "pressing issue".
Peace in the Middle East is a "pressing issue."
Your bellyaching about a silly complaint does not rise to that level.

It's hard to take a hypocrite seriously.

You really don't try to hide your dislike for the mods, do you? Even though this thread alone breaks so very many rules, that of which you are trying to accuse mods of breaking?

Welcome to the Internet, everyone.

Keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times while the ride is in progress - which is always! A better warning would be to advise all of you to bring a thick skin. Discussion forums like this one are home to debates, disagreements, and are shared by people who see the world differently. Not everyone will be your friend. In my experience, a great tactic for satisfaction is having realistic expectations.

Our Ninjas are people, just like you. They volunteer their time to make sure that we have a nice place to hang out. I don't watch them like a hawk for several reasons. For one, I can't. I am too busy working to make sure that you have something good to read from time to time (not to mention other errands that are super-secret and stuff). Another reason is that I trust them. In many ways, they know the fabric of this community better than I do. Some of these venerable peacekeepers have been walking this beat ever since I was a starry-eyed noob looking for my Halo 2 stats.

This experiment is over. We hope you have enjoyed this exercise in transparency and full disclosure. As some of you have said, the best means of combatting something that you do not appreciate is to ignore it and move along. There is a lot to read here. If you find that someone just won't leave you alone, and that their desire to ruin your experience is inescapable, your friendly neighborhood Ninjas will intervene on your behalf.

For this, we should all be grateful.

This pretty much sums it up. Welcome to the internet. People can be rude sometimes. Correction. A lot of the time, to be honest. That's just how things are, and when a user is blatantly incorrect, but not only this, are offensive in their naivety and ignorance, then sometimes a rougher approach must be made to draw their attention to what they have wrong.

As for the idea of making threads about Mod's breaking rules, there is a system in place already for any problems you have with Ninjas. If the system isn't working the way you want it, then by all means, feel free to leave Bungie.net. The system of reporting a mod is created so that our humble host, Bungie, have a hand in making sure that everything is okay. If Bungie says it's all good, then it IS ALL GOOD. There is no more discussion, no more debating, and everything that needs to be said, has been said.

Bungie, those that represent Bungie, and the mods at hand all work together to create a fun, safe, and real environment to talk with others that have a common interest to you.

Bungie

You are here because of Bungie, and you stay FOR Bungie. Got a problem with Bungie?

Leave.

...what's more often than "daily"?

e: Also, are you suggesting that these sorts of situations are abundant? If so, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for you to scan the front page and show me an example.

'More than' daily.

e: Also, are you suggesting that these sorts of situations are abundant?
No.
If so, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for you to scan the front page and show me an example.Still, it would not be difficult. But I simply enjoy calling you out on a ridiculous post. You don't have to take my word for it. Those of us that have been here for a certain amount of time know quite a few drama stories involving moderator actions. So... no, I won't go get 'proof' for you.

The only people I've ever seen make such a big fuss about the ninjas are the ones who violated the rules first. And if it wasn't them it was an alt of theirs making a thread, like this, to complain about it.

I'm just gonna name a random example of a ninja being a jerk, as a lot of you don't believe me.

Here, first page, Foman's response.

This isn't an example of him joking around, he was very hostile.

1. Broke don't be a jerk rule
2. Off topic
3. Pretty much derailed the thread

I'll take Foman hurting my feelings over Shishka -blam!-ing me with his banhammer any day.

Here's the thing, that guy just told yorkie to stop signing his posts because it's annoying, (which it is), but then posted a quick OT thing. What he posted wouldn't get him banned or warned.

Foman then derailed the thread, and didn't post anything on topic, ironic.
The guy antagonized a member...created unnecessary conflict.

I think everyone in favor of leaving the ninjas alone should stop posting in this thread and let it get off the front page after this post.

*leaves thread*

Frankly, Foman did exactly the same thing. The entire thread derailed simply because he couldn't take it to PMs.

Uhh try reading more than the title.

I did, still all you can do is that, pm. them and that's it, remember here Bungie is the law and you have no rights, if you don't like the way it's handle the website, then tough luck. This is the way it has been handled for many years.

Oh, that's quite alright. I was only asking for proof if it was in fact as abundant as I thought you were making it seem. Am I attempting to say that there is never an infraction made by a moderator? Of course not. I am, however, saying that tattling about it to the Community Forum, especially when it most likely does not directly affect you, is silly and immature.

I don't see how it being this way for years makes it any better. The forum ninjas aren't Bungie, and if Bungie wants people to actually run this website properly, they shouldn't get people who act like children to moderate the forums.

(Note: I'm not saying all forum ninjas are like this. Most are decent)
