I'll be a little blunt if you don't mind, don't consider it personal against you, but my two little cents on the issue of this thread in general.
A young individual (most like highschool, but could range from middleschool to college) is unable to control his own impulsive nature to go to a gaming website, which he has only been a part of for a couple months.
Then in those months, has reasoned that he should make alts, and so for what reason no one may know.
Then instead of simply having self-control over himself, or simply PM'ing a mod about having his account temporarily closed, until he so feels he can control himself or need not worry about self-control. He feels it better (and most likely more egotistically gratifying) to make a "public announcement" of his own inability to control himself, and his need for moderator intervention.
How is this ever deemed as appropriate?
I do wish to state, none of what I said applies to the OP. I've never seen him post, nor do I know him personally. I simply feel this is a trend a lot of younger users think is acceptable when school becomes more pressing on them.
This same behavior could have repercussions on their real life if they feel by having authority dictate their inability to self-control, they are somehow better off. I don't know what the moderators can do honestly, if I did I'd have suggested it instead of this ramble.
Anyone kind of understand what I'm getting at?
