The Last Book of the bible, the book of the end, the book of revelations. I read it one day trying to find a good theory for halo 3's plot, and i found loads that related to the trailer we all saw by now and the rest of the series. Read it and you'll start learning all of this, and start to understand what the trailer was trying to say, and also the forerunners are possibly the god-like figures that the covenant think they are. As you read revelations, remember that John wrote revelations, and that master chief's name is John, it could explain to you faster why in the trailer the master chief is in no hurry but knows where he is goin, as it was said, he always does by either bungie or OXM in the recent magazine.

When you finish reading, come back here and post thoughts and findings, and note: the forerunner structure in the trailer is a temple, the temple of god.

do you have any details about your idea forerunners really are gods? i don't think they could be gods if theyre not all knowing. They had to experiment on the flood to learn about them, and also were all killed. Those don't sounds very goddish.

oh and it's Revelation. no 's'. Or if you prefer, "The Revelation of St. John the Elder"

and on a side note, remember Halo 3's plot would be based off of the Bible, not vice versa :)

k just wondering...good thing you didn't say genesisss or deuteronomyses or something :P

but your theory's kewl, maybe the ark is a temple of sorts. Temples do give protection from evil and almost everyone believes the ark indeed does protect from the flood and halo activation. The Forerunners would certainly have been interested in a failsafe plan in case their halo's malfunctioned or had to be activated.

It would have been better if you would have told your theory then telling us to go read it and come back.

Eagle117 posted a link as a reply to my post that might help. He theorized a lot of great stuff regarding Halo and the Bible.

cool, yeah i think it'll be somewhat off it, but remember the cortana letters, she said that poet was wrong on the end of the world, saying it will end with a bang basiclly if you read the poem thats referred to, which would explain some of the fact that its a FPS, and yeah i shouldve posted the entire theory, but thats all on my other computer, im posting this all from somewhere else from memory, but you should still read it.

Thought: A high holy figure wears a halo, the prophets are though by the covenant holy, and in their own way are, as the forerunners are to them, and there is that one prophet of the 3 that fell to gravemind, a fallen angel?
