One does not choose a destiny, his destiny is bestowed, shaped and formed, from the soul.

So I had this idea.

Everyone always talks about how if they died no one on here would know. Well how do we know we haven't already lost someone. So I mean this out of respect. I want this thread to be like a memorial for members of our community that have passed away, I don't think this breaks any rules, nor do I intend for it to.

So, do any of you guys know of members that we have lost over the years?

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

We've lost a few over the years. I recall a BNet member died many years ago, and there were a few threads about it. He was a huge Bungie fan and IIRC he had even visited the studios. I'll search around and see if I can find that guy.

In more recent times, we lost a couple of guys who were personal friends of mine (and whom I had met in real life at PAX events) and really close with a lot of other folks here on BNet.

One of them was Logan Starline, a.k.a. "BerserkerBarage," who passed away in February 2010.

Another was Chris Brown, a.k.a. "DEATHPIMP72," who passed away in October of last year.

EDIT: The guy I remembered from earlier was Brian Morden, a huge Bungie fan and Bungie.org regular who passed away in 2003.

Seeing this and the only thing coming to mind is:
Baby I have been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you.
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah.

Lord, for some reason that also reminds me of my brother.

For the guys I mentioned previously, we knew about them because these guys had involved themselves deeply in the Bungie community to the point where other very involved folks here knew them outside the forums. Many of us who have accounts here have friendships that go beyond the forums. I still have both BB's and Deathpimp's cell phone numbers in my phone, in fact.

It's sad to think about, but it is certainly possible that along the way, there have been other members we lost and simply never knew about because from our perspective, it just looked like they went inactive.

So did the family information the OPs in those threads? Or did someone say (b.net user) your friend has passed. Confused on how people are informed when a member dies.
