This one is slightly more heart throbbing in my opinion.

Every member of the Covenant shall walk the path. None will be left behind when our Great Journey begins. That is the Prophets' age-old promise, and it shall be fulfilled!

One does not choose a destiny, his destiny is bestowed, shaped and formed, from the soul.

Glad to see this thread is working out the way i had hoped.

RIP to all known and unknown fallen members

Los Paranoias

My uncle knew BB, I remember him talking to me about everything when it happened. I never had the luck to meet him, but may he, and those like him rest in peace.

In these times of darkness, when Bungie is away working on the next game, we are reminded of how truly strong this community really is; how tightly knit the fabric of our connectivity. Never forget what it means to be a Bungie fan, because you are part of something bigger, something great.

Here's to everyone I have had the luck of posting with on these fine forums, and here's to those we have lost. I hope one day I can meet many of you, and I can really feel what it means to be a part of this community.

So did the family information the OPs in those threads? Or did someone say (b.net user) your friend has passed. Confused on how people are informed when a member dies.

Several of us became IRL friends with them.

I crashed on BB couch a few times, went to his wedding, and he crashed on my couch a few times. We got calls from his wife and also saw the news on facebook.

If you don't mind me asking, but what happened to him?

He had an infection of sorts. Few diseases are fatal so quickly. If I were to guess, Meningitis or a power strain of Influenza.

Very sad days on Bungie.net. I was deployed when BB went and was shocked when I found out several months later. I knew him as more of a forum regular and an occasional team mate on H2 but still it was sad news.

Just wondering, do you think Bungie would ever include a memorial to recently deceased community members in an easter egg?

Bethesda has done it in Morrowind, Skyrim, and (I think) Oblivion.

Starcraft 2 did it as well.
