Subject: Bungie.net gold?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think a Bungie.net gold service would be cool.

features:
- instead of making 7 threads a day, you could make 77
- Blue text
- Exclusive avatar
- Exclusive title bar
- Bungie.net email
- Facebook and Twitter integration

I am thinking $7.77 a month is fair. Something cool for Bungie.next. What do you think?

Why not just Bungie Pro?

I r guy who gun to teach u lesson

No. I mean, if it gives them money sure. Although, I would not buy it, and blue text would be annoying.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I don't think we need any elitist memberships on b.net. Another pro service with integrated forum features would be nice, though.

Why not just Bungie Pro?

Oh man, that is a perfect name, I totally forgot about Bungie pro.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I think we all know the only reason Ken would want this.

What a terrible idea. You're telling me I'm going to pay $2.56 alone for a Bungie.net email address and Facebook/Twitter integration?

  • 09.22.2012 8:52 PM PDT

Im just a guy.

77 threads a day? Who the hell would make 77 THREADS A DAY?

But really, not a good idea, IMO. That feature alone would make it easy to spam a forum.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Ken... if your willing to pay 7 bucks a month for special treatment I will just give you my pay pal account. I will worship you. Deal?

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.
The apathetic force us to persevere, with their backwards priorities.

Last time I checked my credit card, it said I could do whatever I want!

OT: I don't think its that great of an idea, but if others want to use their money in that way, go right ahead.

No. Paying money for features is a bad idea in general. Very bad idea.

It's an internet forum. Who in their right mind would pay monthly for features like an exclusive title bar and avatar? That's almost $100 a year.

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

I am interested to see if anyone would ever justify actually paying anything for a Bungie.net service, lol.

Not at the cost of money. For one I wouldn't pay that, it would be silly. For two, I believe adding 'paid' features like that would kill a large part of what Bungie.net is. It's something for the community, not a place for Bungie to just make more money (though of course it contributes to that goal). Paid items is a horrible thought. This isn't a bash against you, but the idea in general. I've said the same thing to every one of these threads I've seen the past few years.

I kind of wanted to see if anyone would ever pay for anything that adds a cosmetic change to their forum appearance. It is evident that many people here have some sense.

Does it matter if they get elitist ideas if they have no power to do anything harmful to anyone?
