I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

Ken, you joke about this, but you know that if the day this were to ever be implemented you would be first in line to pay for this. Than someone would point out what you're saying in this thread and you would say something like 'well i wanted to help contribute towards the site its my money and i spend it how i want' or something like that. This thread is just one more example of the things you do that make people not like you.

I was thinking the exact same thing. But man... just who in the world would I chose to ignore? I think I'd have to think long and hard about it.

This would be a great idea if you throw in an ignore feature as well, ken.

Haha, I know right.

Ken, here it is. Why would people pay to have a custom avatar or a title bar or to be able to post 77 threads a day - theres a reason why we can only post 7. Custom avatars are reserved for the Ninjas and Employees and to get a different title bar you have to work hard i.e Theme Master. I would never pay for for extra features. Sure we would love some new ones but thats why theres a Bungie.net Admin Team, it's their job to run it which includes having an update every so often.. FREE of charge.

It's an internet forum. Who in their right mind would pay monthly for features like an exclusive title bar and avatar? That's almost $100 a year.

Ask the members of Se7ensins, or any other modding sites with premium accounts.

People who get premium on Se7ensins don't get it for forum trinkets. They get it for access to the Premium forum which has exclusive content and early game leaks.

No, no, no, and no. One of the reasons I love Bungie.net so much is the fact that it's free. No strings attached. I don't want to have to feel obligated to buy something.

-If you made 77 threads in one day, you're spamming and/or not put any real thought into your threads.

-Blue text would just look messy, and is just promoting elitism.

-Exlusive avatar/title bars should be earned, not bought. I'm not saying they should be earned only by being promoted to a moderator per se, but they should be earned in a way that keeps them special.

-Why would anyone need a b.net email besides employees? It's just an unnecessary thing to pay for, when you can get a free email from yahoo, or gmail, or hatmail, or outlook, or aol, or msn, I think I made my point.

-Facebook and Twitter integration would never be something we have to pay for. Company's WANT us to share their stuff with other people, they WANT us to promote their stuff. Why should we pay money to do it?

-Also, the cost is ridiculous. I pay about that much for XBL every month! I think I'd be okay with a one-time payment for a B.net Gold subscription, if the benefits of buying it were actually beneficial.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

Who in the hell would want, need or possibly USE the ability to make 77 new topics in a day?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

No one would use 77 topics but I could easily use more than 7 topics in one day. Considering the number of forums Bungie.net has.

It is easily to make 7 flood threads in 1 day especially with how fast the forum moves. But, as long as they are on topic, what is the problem? There is no rule for making lots of threads (as long as they are on topic).

I would not pay for anything like that unless it was also tied in with a game (such as stuff in game), and a one time payment.

I don't think you get that bungie is not out to make money on this site. They get there money from the games, and the site is for the community. Stop putting a price tag on everything.

I personally believe that if someone has more than 7 topics of valid discussion for these forums in a day, that they are not using a very critical method for determining their validity.

If a person were using these forums to create a topic every time a thought came into their head, I would be first in line screaming for a forum feature to ignore such a person.

Just an Average Joe...

I can almost guarantee you if you're posting over seven times a day, not only will the threads be terrible and annoying, but people will get sick of hearing from you. Almost like they do for the types of people that speak for the sake of hearing their own voice.

eh, no one says you have to respond to a thread anyone makes.

Without new threads being made a forum becomes pointless.

Yes, but it doesn't mean you have to make over 7 threads a day?!

You don't make all 7 in the same place, lol.

No one in their right mind would make 77 threads either.

Without new threads being made a forum becomes pointless.

If everyone makes a "here is my thought of the moment" topic and floods a forum with such inane blather, then real topics worthy of discussion become lost in the noise which ALSO renders that forum pointless with nothing but noisy OP's and no discussion.

A limit on topic creation forces the member to budget themselves and consider the likelihood of getting replies. I have NEVER encountered the 7 topic a day limit, so I wouldn't know that situation. But I maintain that if someone frequently does, then they should have a blog/FB/Twitter and see just how interesting their random thoughts are to others.

New threads are not what give a forum its purpose. GOOD threads are. What determines a good thread on an open forum? Vox Populi. Not the "create new topic" button being unlimited.
