Subject: I would like to ask you all...

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

Some very generic questions. Why? Well, I observe this site and its Members day after day and while many enjoy their stay, many others whine and complain over imperfections they may see, or go on about how things aren't the way they should be. Having seen so many different opinions here and there, I figured asking a few specific questions in regards to individuals and their activities on this site would help gauge a certain consensus of sorts. So, I shall proceed...

Do you enjoy coming here on a regular basis, or is it a force of habit?

Ready and willing to return to a specific era or time on this site, where would you chose to go first?

Are you happy with how things are currently moderated and how the site is kept in terms of content cleanliness?

Giving and taking is what this site is about... Do you feel you give equal to what you share in terms of posting content? Or do you simply absorb information and refrain from participating?

On a given day, what do you think your average post amount might be?

Nearly everyone here shares a common interest and love for games, and the Bungie Community itself. Do you find you identify with many Members? Or do feel you are extremely different and unable to relate to the masses?

Share your fondest Memory of this site, and your hopes for future change.

Some times I wonder...

Ready and willing to return to a specific era or time on this site, were would you chose to go first?
blah

Are you happy with how things are currently moderated and how the site is kept in terms of content cleanliness?
Is biased.

Giving and taking is what this site is about... Do you feel you give equal to what you share in terms of posting content? Or do you simply absorb information and refrain from participating?
Usually I just lurk, will step out into the light every now and then.

On a given day, what do you think your average post amount might be?
Not very high.

Nearly everyone here shares a common interest and love for games, and the Bungie Community itself. Do you find you identify with many Members? Or do feel you are extremely different and unable to relate to the masses?
Depends on the topics of interest at the given moment.

Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.

Yes, I enjoy coming here.

I would go to 2009. The anticipation of ODST was awesome.

Yes, but I don't think warnings should demote your title.

I post game news from time to time.

However much fills up half a page of post history.

I relate to the Halo lovers, but I don't hate CoD, 343i, or PS3.

My fondest memory would be Halo Reach excitement and love, not hatred.

Age and gaming experience are probably the biggest reasons for that.

That memory and the memory contained within the memory, are now both fond memories of mine. Crazy how time flies... I'll send it again in another 6 years. Then we can have three fond memories, lol.

Do you enjoy coming here on a regular basis, or is it a force of habit?
I enjoy visiting here daily. Even though there isn't a game to talk about, I enjoy discussion with friends and community guys.

Ready and willing to return to a specific era or time on this site, where would you chose to go first?Launched back into 2004. Loved the insight and community when it first started.

Are you happy with how things are currently moderated and how the site is kept in terms of content cleanliness?I'm happy with the moderation. However, I wish there was something that the every day person could do to prevent obvious spam, rule breaking etc. Right now I just click a button and hope something is done about it.

Giving and taking is what this site is about... Do you feel you give equal to what you share in terms of posting content? Or do you simply absorb information and refrain from participating?Give and take. Bungie's dark right now, so I'm actually posting much less than normal. You can learn a ton from lurking and absorbing.

On a given day, what do you think your average post amount might be?Public forums? Less than 3 posts. Private groups? Anywhere from 10-30.

Nearly everyone here shares a common interest and love for games, and the Bungie Community itself. Do you find you identify with many Members? Or do feel you are extremely different and unable to relate to the masses?I find myself able to meet new guys easily. Although I stick to my roots with most guys that have been around a while. There are exceptions to everything, of course.

A bit of both. Some threads I will just read and some threads I will respond. The responses depend on my mood.

No, I can identify with many members. The sad part is with most people I only share one common interest, so not much to talk about to become the greatest friends, but enough to keep friends on here, kinda.

I am happy with the way things are moderated. This site is very clean and uncluttered.

Some of us give in ways that are not seen by the public or in the form of thread/forum posts.

It doesn't really matter as long as one maintains a possitive frame of mind when posting.

Do you enjoy coming here on a regular basis, or is it a force of habit?
A habit... I'm looking to get some counseling in the near future.

Ready and willing to return to a specific era or time on this site, where would you chose to go first? Probably the Flood... they tend to know a lot about what's going on in the world.

Are you happy with how things are currently moderated and how the site is kept in terms of content cleanliness? I guess... I would argue with some decisions made but I'm only a mere member and my opinion doesn't matter.

Giving and taking is what this site is about... Do you feel you give equal to what you share in terms of posting content? Or do you simply absorb information and refrain from participating? I try to give as much as possible... I would like to provide as much as I can.

On a given day, what do you think your average post amount might be? Around a dozen maybe?

Nearly everyone here shares a common interest and love for games, and the Bungie Community itself. Do you find you identify with many Members? Or do feel you are extremely different and unable to relate to the masses? It depends on what age group I would be comparing myself to... anyone old enough to remember playing on the PS2, N64 and perhaps even the SNES- I tend to associate myself with that type of gamer.

Are you happy with how things are currently moderated and how the site is kept in terms of content cleanliness? Can't complain. It just depends on when moderators are online. It gets really awful sometimes when the mods aren't around.
Giving and taking is what this site is about... Do you feel you give equal to what you share in terms of posting content? Or do you simply absorb information and refrain from participating?I don't think I contribute much to the community/site.

6. I would think so.
7. Getting title promotions always warms my heart, and I can't wait for the new hawtness.

Probably both. The older I get, the less I enjoy it, however.

Ready and willing to return to a specific era or time on this site, where would you chose to go first?

I'm not the type to be overly nostalgic. Now is just the same as three years ago to me.

Are you happy with how things are currently moderated and how the site is kept in terms of content cleanliness?

I think the main forums are kept clean relative to most others. I think that has more to do with the activity of the moderators and not the quality. I do not think that some of the moderators should be in their positions.

Giving and taking is what this site is about... Do you feel you give equal to what you share in terms of posting content? Or do you simply absorb information and refrain from participating?

I've given a lot more than I've taken.

On a given day, what do you think your average post amount might be?

On the main forums, 2-3, if that. In Sapphire, 100 maybe.

Nearly everyone here shares a common interest and love for games, and the Bungie Community itself. Do you find you identify with many Members? Or do feel you are extremely different and unable to relate to the masses?

If I liked the majority of the people on the mains I would post more than a couple of times a day.

Share your fondest Memory of this site, and your hopes for future change.

No idea. The Sapphire community has taken up most of my time, hard to choose a moment from that continuing saga. It's more of a journey.

The only things I could say about future change is that I hope the member quality increases and more importantly, I hope private groups get more features instead of continuously being ignored by the web team.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I have seen you future

1) I enjoy coming here and interacting with the community.
2) From the time I was here I would go back to the pre-Reach days when we didn't really know what was going to be in it and there was an insane amount of hype. From any time I would want to see this site around Halo 2. I've heard good things.
3) Happy.
4) I certainly read more than I post, but I add my voice when I think I have something to contribute.
5) Varies, maybe 5-10 on an average day, mostly in groups, more if I'm debating.
6) I think I identify with everyone's love of games, even if I haven't played Minecraft like everyone else here.
7) I don't know about my fondest memory of the site, maybe a couple years ago when I used to speculate about the Halo Universe in the Universe forum. That was back when I had the time to read all of the new books. As for the future change, I just hope that after bungie.next comes out that after the shiny newness wears off it is still even more awesome than the current site.
