If you're referring to the Anti-Foman group, get out.

People will always get butthurt if they get banned, regardless of whether or not it was deserved.

All of the mods here, as far as I've seen, are very reasonable and mature.

Topics aren't dead, they're just missing in action. Well, until the option to reply is taken out. Then they're really dead.

Those people complaining are doing something wrong.

No, but we should totally be able to remove certain members...or at the very least make then fight in the death pit of death.

Those people complaining are doing something wrong.

Are you serious? So by your logic, anyone who complains is, by default, doing something wrong? Now how about we apply this to apartheid or Stalin's rule. Does that logic still hold up?

I was talking about the Bungie.net forums.

Well, you certainly reduced it to absurdity when there was no point. Not only that, but your assumption was wrong. "Those people" means in this situation. If he had said "Those who complain", you would be correct in your assumption.

Back to the point, you should not be able to remove moderators. Moderators will be removed if they are found to be doing something wrong.

1. Stalin killed those who he felt were a threat to his continued rule. Has nothing to do with being a fair moderator.

2.Apartheid has nothing to do with anything! How does racial segregation apply to an internet forum?

No, because it's ridiculous. If a mod is going crazy, the others have ways to get rid of him or keep him in check. The members shouldn't be in control of this.

I see you fail to comprehend my statement. I'm talking about how people complained against the establishment. By the logic of the previous member, complaining means one is doing something wrong as opposed to the established rule doing something wrong. I don't see how you could have possibly missed that.
He didn't literally mean you should be punished for complaining. He meant that most people complaining are the ones who incurred the mods' banhammer. This isn't rising up against the establishment. These mods are here to keep this forum clean and enjoyable for all. And besides

You have no rights, play nice

So members can't control their own community? That seems to pose a problem of how people feel comfortable around here.
If you feel a Ninja has unfairly banned you or in some other way abused his power, you can always contact a Master Ninja. If the Master Ninja is guilty or doesn't care, you can appeal to Urk. If Urk doesn't care, you probably got what you deserved.

Fair enough, but the community as a whole have less bias than the ones who appoint the moderator, no? I'm sure you have high bias based on the fact that you rarely witness what goes on in the Flood.

The Flood is one of the two forums I most frequent. The Flood, however, is a board with no boundary other than "here are the rules, do whatever." There is no set topic, thus you may talk about whatever you want. Therein lies the problem, and where the moderation gets difficult. Members may thing something said may not be so bad, but a Moderator may find it to be conflicting with the rules, thus a ban must be issued.

I may have bias, but it is not my place to decide. If someone is being an overall asshat in a thread, and they are removed, then I feel they deserve it. Those are the ones that generally complain. That, or the ones that have moderators act like jerks. I've seen that happen. Then again, some members are jerks and don't get banned, so it's a matter of where the line is.
