Those people complaining are doing something wrong.
Are you serious? So by your logic, anyone who complains is, by default, doing something wrong? Now how about we apply this to apartheid or Stalin's rule. Does that logic still hold up?
Well, you certainly reduced it to absurdity when there was no point. Not only that, but your assumption was wrong. "Those people" means in this situation. If he had said "Those who complain", you would be correct in your assumption.
Back to the point, you should not be able to remove moderators. Moderators will be removed if they are found to be doing something wrong.
Fair enough, but the community as a whole have less bias than the ones who appoint the moderator, no? I'm sure you have high bias based on the fact that you rarely witness what goes on in the Flood.
The Flood is one of the two forums I most frequent. The Flood, however, is a board with no boundary other than "here are the rules, do whatever." There is no set topic, thus you may talk about whatever you want. Therein lies the problem, and where the moderation gets difficult. Members may thing something said may not be so bad, but a Moderator may find it to be conflicting with the rules, thus a ban must be issued.
I may have bias, but it is not my place to decide. If someone is being an overall asshat in a thread, and they are removed, then I feel they deserve it. Those are the ones that generally complain. That, or the ones that have moderators act like jerks. I've seen that happen. Then again, some members are jerks and don't get banned, so it's a matter of where the line is.
