This is my theory on dual weilding.

Okay, In Halo 2, DWing was great, but too inconvenient. It was only a temporary thing. Only applicable at certain times. Not to mention every little thing you did made you drop your secondary weapon. Swap weapons, drop. Throw Grenade, drop. Melee attack, drop, it was ridiculous. In Halo 3, dual weilding should have these rules.

1. You can swap weapons without dropping your secondary weapon, like in H2 E3.
2. You can melee without dropping your secondary weapon. That was crazy. Why can't you use BOTH weapons to melee, or how about kicking?!
3. You can only drop the secondary weapon by either,
a. Choosing to (create a command for that)
b. Throwing a grenade.
Let's face it, you don't have three hands, so it's impossible, and unfair. Imagine this. On Live, some guy is wailing on you with dual Plasma Rifles, your sheilds are down, he tosses a grenade, and keeps DWing. It's not fair that they should be allowed to have two weapons out at the same time AND toss grenades at you.

So, agree or disagree?

The only change I'd like to see is they'll allow you to melee with the gun in your right hand without dropping the one in your left.

Simple, doesn't make things anymore powerful either.

Why?

Think about this. I and dual wielding smgs, run out of amunition then switch one of them to a magnum I had in reserve with only about a half second laps in fire. By the time it runs out the smg should be reloaded so I will never have to stop firing. That would be stupid.

Exactly! More convenient, not one sided.

Well, I still think it's better than Halo 2's DWing.

Are you just going to ignore the fact it would ,ake duel wielding stupidly powerful.

No, it wouldn't make it stupidly powerful. It would make it more convenient. My theory is simply making it so you don't drop the second weapon all the time, I'm not changing anything powerwise.

I think you should be able to melee w/o dropping one, because why do you need to drop your left weapon to melee with the right one?

Yeah the melee thing sounds like a lot of sense until you really think about it. The only advantage a single wielder with an smg has over a dual wielder with two smgs is that he can throw grenades and melee. Most of the time the single wielder will die but sometimes he may get close enough to beat the other guy down.

Take this ability and give it to both guys and it becomes almost pointless to single wield a single handed gun.

Its a shame that meleeing with dual guns would be so unbalanced but thats what it comes down to. AGAIN. Gameplay balance.

Halo 3 (31st), ODST (14th) and Reach (4th) Mythic Conqueror. (Mythic is Solo, Legendary, All skulls on + scoring on and no deaths/saves).

That is the worst idea ever.

You would be stuck with dual weilding all the time. You could NOT throw granades because pulling the left trigger would just attempt to fire your left weapon. Then the ONLY why to get out of dual wielding would be to create a special button. Or swap to a non-dual weildable weapon.

god. you didn't think this through at all.

hmm... yeah that's something I haven't thought of.

You seem to be forgetting that H3 will be on the Xbox 360, which has different button layouts on the controllers. And you could drop the weapon to toss a grenade! Plus, I don't see you coming up with any good ideas. So why don't you stop ragging on me and be a little more productive and USEFUL, by making up your own ideas, instead of contradicting others?!

The black and white buttons were just moved to shoulder buttons. How does that make a diifference? It's not like there's extra buttons to works with on the 360.

Duel wielding should drop the second gun when you melee.

Almost 40% of people dont want a human fly vehicle.... If you're that 60% taht does put this in your signature.

WTF is "taht"??

I think you should be able to keep the DW when you change your weapon. anything else, you should drop them.

They both have the same amount of buttons, dumbass. By the way, yelling at someone for giving you constructive criticism makes you look like a prick, especially when you don't actually address any of his points.

"I'm hungry..."

Duel wielding was really powerful. That's why they made it hinder other things.
