Inheritor # 475 world,

ban has expired?

Can't mods delete you're post.

As an example.

My last ban was for a particular post. I just went back to the thread I got banned in and my post is still there.

Couldn't this potentially still harm viewers if they were to go into that thread?

Any insight would be great.

Thanks.

Discuss if you think posts you were banned for should re-appear or be deleted permanently.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

You should be deleted. :P

Yeah, I think that the content should edited out.. it would make sense.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

If it was really bad, then you would have gotten a ban long enough so that the thread should be dead or archived. If not, then I would assume that if they deemed it bad enough they would edit it out.

Or ... perhaps you can stop trolling, thus eliminate the need for your bans in the first place??

Gotta love those cries to 'fix the problem' from those who are the problem.

  • 09.27.2012 4:22 AM PDT

If they delete the post, wouldn't they delete the "thread" to the post that violated the rules in the first place? I guess it's the same reason they don't just delete post.

There's no issue. How often do you go back and look at a thread where someone has been banned?

DMX1337 makes Cortana quote reference in the second reply to OP, okay. Ninja makes same reference, genius. Well played indeed.

OT: Posts accredited to ban should be minimized when the user is unbanned.

I just don't really care.

It affects me... not at all if a banned post/member is there or not. It does not affect my posts or their content, and if they reappear, it affects me in the same way.

I'm more curious as to why this is a concern for you, OP...

True that.

And another pondering I'm having; Judging by your title, OP, you haven't received a ban for at least a year. Why does this bother you now?

  • 09.27.2012 7:56 AM PDT

ooga booga boooh

By the time their ban has lifted, who is ultimately going to go back and read the post?

  • 09.27.2012 8:39 AM PDT

Life?
I have the internet and Doctor Who; i don't need a life.

i don't like how all your post-offence posts are deleted.

though admittedly it helps with shock-site spammers.

Ironically ... the original poster, to find out what he/she did wrong.

The funny part is sometimes the mods will include a link back to the offending post ... as a reference to why you got banned.
The cracker part ... you can no longer see it ?!?
(wonder who thought that idea would work)

Why would you need to see a post you've been banned for? You're the one that posted it so you should know what it was.

This made me laugh. Don't worry it was cool when you posted it too. Moderator posts are like lamp posts to nocturnal insects. Even the most mundane posts will be quoted, favorited, thread saved, and liked, 1-uped, digged and retweeted.
