The 360 is the only controller that isn't virtual (like the PS3 or Wii), and some people think this a bad thing, but for a lot of games, it just isn't feasable. Halo 3, for instance, would be an amazing game that would be ruined by the virtual part of it; sniping would be impossible, trying to toss a grenade off a wall to get it around a corner would be a pain in the ass, and everything that is already running silk-smooth in Halo would suddenly become much more difficult. I'm glad Microsoft stuck to the normal controller instead of going with a trend.

Seems that the PS3 and Wii both also have virtual controllers. The Wii has a little more freedon of movement and the PS3 has 6 degrees of rotation. Maybe I don't know what you mean my virtual?

The PS3 and Wii are considered virtual right? I thought that was the right term...

If you are refering to the controllers that have motion
sensors, by saying, virtual, then no, I disagree with
you that it would be hard or impossible to play Halo 3
with them. There are multiple first person shooters
coming out such as RED STEEL, and METRIOD PRIME
CORRUPTION, that incorporate the new Mo.Sen. controllers.

The Wii even has a spcial casing designed specifically
for games that use guns, so If microsoft did for some
reason choose to have the otions of motion sensing cont.
it might seem wired bu, I don't think it would be a bad, or
impossible experience. It might take the game developers
some fine tuning to incorporate it properly, but bungie, is
certainly capable of doing something like that if they needed too.

Edit: I'm not really sure what your talking about since I don't see any real significant change in controllers other than wireless being the new standard.

Screw the virtual controller. I want Microsoft to implement the 3D Visor!!

You can fire in one direction and look in the other. All this on a 105" screen. Yes, that's right... a whopping big 9 foot wide screen.

Think of it, you could drive the Warthog in first person mode and check over your shoulder when you're going in reverse!
