Subject: No One Knows Anything!

Survive until the red dawn rises, when we have spilled the blood of our enemies.

It has recently come to my attention that barely anyone on Bungie.net knows ANYTHING about the Halo lore. For example, I was reading a post saying that the invasion of Reach was 'stopped' by 'Master Chief.' Number one, Reach was utterly destroyed and all life there was eradicated. And two, Sure, Master Chief managed to save Reach all the while in cryogenic sleep a few hundred-thousand kilometres away. People here really need to brush up on their Halo knowledge before trying to explain something they know nothing about. (people who know what they are talking about Halo lore wise, this post is not directed toward you).

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

When you say Bungie.net, I assume you mean the Flood?

You won't get that type of stuff on here, I assure you. Plus I'm sure you were being trolled.

You look around. You fire your weapon before you realize.
Its just me. I fall and you walk up. You cry why.
When i pop up. You look at me in wonder. I say,"ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."
You bend to my will and go to a cliff, walk off, and fall.
The last thing you hear is me stating as fact,"All will fail the battle of life, you just went early"

I know almost everything about Halo lore. Yes, I did read the last part of your post.

I have been here longer than you

That is all.

I myself and many others in the Universe, are fully aware that red and blue teams, as well as all other available spartan 2's aside from a few that have been retconned in were the only Spartans that fought on Reach.

Chief fought a small fight on a ship repair yard in space to take out a nav comp.

Also all of reach was glassed aside from a small square of land.

No, the human population there was culled and some areas of the planet were 'glassed.' The planet survived and so did the wildlife on it, to the extent that it was reinhabited by 2589.

Sounds like you need to brush up on lore yourself.

The eulogy Halsey delivers at the end of Reach shows spacecraft and a structure in the background, and she talks about how 'we can rebuild.' The fact that the planet isn't glasslands shows it was terraformed.

~ I hate, therefore I am. ~

1) Ignorance is bliss.

2) Everyone knows that the destruction of Reach was stopped by the refugees from Kobol. They called in their Warrior Angel allies (why else would there be Halo's... duh) who then made the Covenant Armada submit to them with their crafty use of foul sign language and thinly-veiled threats of TP'ing their Battle Cruisers.

My gods, read a book...

;)

In the Gaming world they call me The Prodigy. My guess is because I spent my time helping every person with every problem rather they where my enemies or not. With that said I also ended up blowing the minds of everyone I met online. And in the real world if we are talking about Game development and computer skill. None the less I tend to present my self in a generally professional manner and I do not tolerate an annoying degree of Disrespect or high levels of ignorance.

Honestly I would post random but still interesting topics in The Flood but it seems too vulgar as well as unorganized. I expected as much from a forum like that, none the less I post in the BUNGIE UNIVERSE Forum because I like the concept of discussing Halo related content as well as people actually present themselves in a professional or at least mature manner.

Oh God, you mean 60% of people in the Flood haven't been exposed to the unparalleled literary brilliance of the Halo books? Ninteen-Eighty-When? What do you mean, you caught a '22'? How can an Atlas 'shrug'?

You haven't read about a gun firing, and an alien being killed by the firing gun and then more explosions. You're not worthy of my time!

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Go to Waypoint and start a thread on Halo Universe Lore.

Uggh... Sheesh it's been a while since I've cross-referenced the books with the manga graphic novels...

You're absolutely correct. It was the Lords of Kobol, and if I remember correctly, weren't they riding Unicorns? Or was it Quadricorns that fart rainbows?

I just can't remember...

Thats not what im saying, what i am saying is that you cant really have a good discussion about lore in the flood because most users there don't go deeper into the lore, that could be said to any other Game Mass Effect, Star wars, Tom Clancy ETC... you cant get a good story disscussion on the flood and that anoys me as it was suposed to be the place where those things are discusssed.

  • 10.03.2012 9:22 AM PDT

Actually, no. Discussion of the Halo story is for this forum. Whilst it's true Bungie's no longer the proprietor of the franchise, they're still the original author of the universe and so anything in that universe is to be discussed in the Bungie Universe forum.

It's not against the rules to post about 343i's Halo story in the Flood, but this is the proper place to do so and the place where you're most likely to get learned replies.
