Subject: Halo 4 Grunts

As some of us might be aware, there was a leak where characters and enemies of Halo 4 were shown on the back of an Action Figures packet. Of course due to all the recent trailers, we most certainly know what kind of non-Covenant enemies we'll be facing, but what about the Covenant? The Link below will show you on of the new type/rank of Grunts to be featured in Halo 4.

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?num=10&hl=en&safe=off& amp;biw=1280&bih=666&tbm=isch&tbnid=jwyMjlPbc5kiw M:&imgrefurl=http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Unggoy&docid= i-DpNhcZ2pmuVM&imgurl=http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/_ _cb20120512020925/halo/images/b/be/Halo-4-Grunt-concept.jpg&a mp;w=1920&h=1914&ei=olhpUJv8Ma6X0QXrhYDgAw&zoom=1 &iact=rc&dur=193&sig=112552796505181150371&pa ge=1&tbnh=145&tbnw=145&start=0&ndsp=18&ve d=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:71&tx=114&ty=76

Now after looking at that link, can anyone tell me what the -blam!- is that!?
Obviously 343i has made some changes to the lovable past-Trilogy Grunts we all know, the little ugly munters with high pitched voices, who'd go into a funny berserk rage if they chose not to run about in endless circles crying, screaming out moments of their life before they were slaughtered by the Masterchief on how they went to "Nipple Acadmey". As others have expressed, will these Grunts be too serious? Will they provide as much entertainment as the previous Grunts? Or, will making them more less-comical looking, and even enhancing their fighting spirit and abilites provide us with more of a challenge?

What do you think?

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

These are a seperate branch of the covenant known as the storm. I'm not sure how that makes the grunts turn into reptiles rather than arthropods, but I'm not all that bothered since the effect on gameplay is minimal at worst.

So what is the new branch; The Storm? Are they the scattered remains of the Covenant Empire? Or some other idea.

Is it possible not to include spoilers?

They're a seperatist branch of super-religious elites that refused to stop worshiping the forerunners and still consider humans their enemies. Some grunts were just unfortunate enough to be dragged along with them.

Ah right I understand. Well then that has filled my head with even more questions! Which will probably be answered with the release of Halo 4.

How did you come across your answers then? A Website containing this information perhaps?

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

My apologies for the link not working, you can always copy and past the writing that would be the link. The link is the second paragraph.

I enjoy halo for it's story and when I am in the mood, its gameplay. Reach was significantly worse then I expected but was still a great game (minus the european hitscan fiasco). I am sitting on a two mile wide fence on the subject of halo 4. Most of the things I like a technical aspects though and not story or game play. Plus I am slightly mad they took my elites from MP.

The storm are a bunch of elites from a Sangheili colony that never joined the Covenant - and it turns out most of the Colonies stayed independent but colonies founded after the Sangheili-San 'shyuum war stayed dependant on and were ruled by Sanghelios.

For you OP. Since your links are all over the place I give you this video.

In short I don't like how the physiology of every race was changed drastically, space grunts look like Beluga whales, I like most of the ranger classes because I always wanted to see more covenant in space, I like how they look more like spacesuits now, and I breath a sigh of relief that Hunter's weren't molested like the other races.

After reading this I laughed (no offence), I salute you sir! You made me laugh and currently restore my faith in Halo humour.

But yes, I agree if the Hunters were changed then I'd simply say "Some men just want to watch the world burn." I know the Elites are similar to their predecessors. But I don't know what the other species of the ex-Covenant look like. Frankly, I don't want to know until Halo 4. After what they did to the Grunts...that was an abomination.

I wonder if there will be Brutes in Halo 4

No Moonbabies thankfully. Consider it lucky for them as I call them Moonbabies for a reason. Reach made Brutes silly, and I can't imagine what name I'd have to make up for them if they were in Halo 4. Knowing 343 at this point they'd go from rhino-apes to Bears.

Yeah I agree, in Reach they just went downhill. From the previous Halo games they were buffed up with Power Armour, then it turned into rags and a mask. They didn't suit grey skin, or the tribal look, even though that was their nature according to Halo Lore. I just hope the Covenant Alliance in Halo 4 isn't a bunch of 'scruffy looking nerf-herders'.

"rhino-apes to bears" , Sandtrap you never fail to amuse me!
