In a lot of ways Halo's multiplayer is a completely different standalone game. Should Bungie put their attention towards making Halo 3 into a fully realized competitive online sport ( like Unreal ) Or should they put all their effort into telling a good well thought out story? For me, what i liked about halo 1 was when i first encountered the A-i in the game. When you see the Elites jump out of the way of a grenade, its a thrilling experience because they seem Alive and very real. I liked the campaign more cause the challenge was faceing this mysterious alien race, thats what made the game memorable.

I know theyr'e working on both parts but whats most important to you?

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Campaign due to the fact that they allready have the matchmaking tools from Halo 2 available to use.

The reason why they cocentrated on Halo 2 MP so much was because it was the first time they were making an online game for the XBOX and they had to build the matchmaking and host system from scratch!

So this time it shouldn't take as long to build the muliplayer part of the game like it did with Halo 2!

Both, but in the long run I would have to say MP, because after the campaign the game won't last long if there isn't a strong multiplayer to keep it going.

Campaign, this will have to be the true "Return of the King" of video games with the mother of all endings.

btw I want to say I still hate the matchmaking system! I know they're going to use the same one but i just WISH they would make a custom games list, where we could choose a custom game in progress and just join it. ( you know, like in every other online game in the world..) That way the host could set the rules so the game last however long they want and it wouldnt be just ten minute games without rematches :(

I know we have the option to send "Invites" for custom games but No one ever joins if they dont know who you are!!. The system does not work. I NEED that list option. Thats why i cant wait for Halo2 PC on Vista cause it will get it right finally

i cant believe that some people actually voted for more attention toward MP rather then the REAL game itself...

Those are the people who don't actually enjoy the movie... I mean game for its' story. I want the story to end all stories, the ending to destroy all others, and a glorious multiplayer.

Campaign is priority one, though. It needs to tie up all of the loose ends (including the other Spartans and Dr. Halsey) and kick major ass.

Thats exactly right, anyway after the game is finished they can still keep doing MP unlike campaign which they can't change after they've released. After H2 was released they released a map pack and they can do the exact same thing for Halo3, so why not focus on campaign why they still can and then after it is released they can start on a map pack for Halo3. I vote campaign for obvious reasons and people with good intentions for Halo3 will agree with me. All it is.... is common sense.
