Subject: Do you ever wonder what Bungie's morale is like in the studio?

~:O>~~

They lost an entire decade's worth of work to Microsoft...

A lot of the Original Team left to work for 343i...

They teamed up with Activision (???)

Their last game (Reach) was butchered by negative responses...

Something about Paul McCartney.

And yeah... what do you think Bungie is doing nowadays? I hope they are okay...

ooga booga boooh

And, like most people,I bet if they did take that mentality, they're vengeful as -blam!- and can't wait to release a game that will sell millions more copies than H4.

I bet at work, their morale is intense. They may be dark to us, but behind those curtains and men with hammers, there are men and women working diligently towards a new game, spawning new ideas and grinding away.

I imagine it looking something like this. No joke.

Oh.. I thought you meant the whole Bungie Team. Hmm, I expect they are fine with it. You have to move on at some stage.

The most dangerous gunslinger in the west.

I'm pretty sure they realize that anyone who has become popular/famous anywhere will always have people who scathingly hate them/their products, regardless of the actual quality of said product.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

I imagine that they have pretty thick skin when it comes to criticism on the internet. As for morale I imagine it is pretty high, they have a brand new IP, a fresh start from Halo, and a rock wall.

Not sure, they can be excited for what they are creating now, but at the same time sad that they can't show anything yet.

Didn't they say they look forward to being fans?; It doesn't seem they see it as a loss...

A lot of the Original Team left to work for 343i...Wasn't it like... three people that left to work for 343i, out of Bungie's hundreds of employees?

They teamed up with Activision (???)A decision Bungie made of their own will...

Their last game (Reach) was butchered by negative responses...Only by the hypercritical group of gamers that hate absolutely everything. Reach was a good game, I enjoyed it, and Bungie should feel good for making it.

Something about Paul McCartney.Which is an amazingly awesome thing; he's helping with the music for Destiny.

And yeah... what do you think Bungie is doing nowadays? I hope they are okay...Collectively they seem to be doing just fine. They make great games, probably have a good chunk of profit, and they're one of my two favorite game developers.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

It was disliked by the Halo 3 purists, but overall Reach was an amazing game. I don't feel like debating this, so if you feel like quoting this to argue, please don't. But yeah, it was really good. I played the hell out of it. And it was a great end to BUNGIE's reign over Halo.

The OP confuses me with its inaccuracies.

Bungie is great and Destiny will blow our collective ming.

Your ming can't be saved now. Don't be selfish.

Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

I think they're doing well. They're doing something they're intensely passionate about.

"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

I'm sure all they're feeling is psyched to release Destiny.
Bungie doesn't seem the type to dwell over, or even care about, competition.
Except when it comes to Multi-Flag CTF and DDR, of course.

I completely agree. Everything post-Reach launch must've been tough.

They have made one of the most successful franchises of all time, have grown enough to be successful one their own, have started Aerospace as mobile publishing to help fund theirs and others endeavors, and maintain one of the most loving, supportive, and involved communities/armies in the video game industry.

I'd say they're pretty blam happy.

Yuri Goggles can never be too tight!

Ξ

It can't be a good feeling.

Btw I want to hear a post mortem of reach. I want to hear what they have to say about it now that it's aged a little.

  • 10.02.2012 5:52 PM PDT

Hey I am a big Bungie fan ever since I played Halo 2. I love the series, I love Bungie. I have made a few Bungie logos in my metal shop.

But with more kick -blam-
