Mabye the multiplayer can have a sort of BF2 element where you can pick classes such as spartan, engineer, deployment (by "flying the pelican") medics would be cool (if health bars are put back in), pilots that do nothing but fly support ship and bomber like planes. I would open up alot more possibilities to the whole ranking and medal system that H2 has but it would make you play even longer so when you reach lvl 50 that would be only one class.

That is pretty cool, but do you want halo 3, or battlefield 2 with halo skins, or a completely different Halo 3. I think that will also drive away from the FPS aspect and go into a Tactical Shooter.

Having classes like that might not work.. too... erm one track? Something like in Mechassault: Lone Wolf... the VTOL was there to assist and give supplies. That would be better. Just having a designated person to fly troops & supplies. Just not having that person as the only one. Ya know... incase he sucks.

Well, I think there could be a way of doing this without disrupting the halo style. Everyone chooses a class, and they just become a bit better at whatever that class is.

e.g. when a pilot class uses a vehicle, the vehicle is a bit more resiliant. When a rifle class uses a BR, it does a little more damage. This way, people can have a class, but everyone can still fill any role. They just get a small bonus depending what they're doing.
