Subject: At what point did you start recognizing people on the forums?

"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens."
-Dr. Carl Jung

I started posting primarily in TBC, I started noticing a lot of the same names happen over and over. The only notable one being Lobster Fish 2.

Erm, around 2010. People like Constant Carnage, Rokit, Silver Bullet, Dom the Bomb, Omegas Weapon and Crazy Kiwi 7 ect. I miss some of those guys :( But yeah 2010 because that's when I started posting back when I was a 'Member'.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Some of the people I know best are for the wrong reasons. :/

Yeah I agree.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

After a little while (maybe a month) I started to recognize some of the most prolific posters. That group expands, and by now I recognize almost everyone who posts in the community forum. Once you join groups that's when you start to actually get to know some of the members.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

You recognize people and their unique avatars after a while.

The shiny Gold Text gets me every time.

*snaps fingers*

"Got me again!"

Typically though, it's Avatar+ Easily remembered name= Recognized.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

A couple months into posting here frequently.

Real account.

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

I tend to forget everyone whom I had not acquainted with.

If you're interested in Halo's music, check this out.

Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

Almost immediately. Of course, the amount of people I recognized grew with time, but I started off in the Halo 3 forum, so I saw plenty of burritosenior, Hylebos (to a slightly lesser extent), etc.

Foman banned me for asking people to vote. DO NOT STOP VOTING!

I only recognize Foman, and that's because I've played Halo with him before. The salmon text has nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.

And surely his username doesn't help you with recognizing him.

I notice most people who come here and post often. I have a good memory.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I honestly can't remember. It would have been within a few months of me becoming truly active on the forums though. There are always people who stand out for one reason or another.

I know, right?
Jay acts like she's better than everyone else simply because she's a chick.
I hope she chokes to death.

Pretty much the moment I started posting on the Flood. When the same people post in all your threads, you tend to remember them.

You.

You rustled many jimmies today.

ooga booga boooh

I think I remember some people for comments, such as petit and zoid, and a few others. They post a lot, we see their names in the last post of the thread, etc.

Some I remember because they always make thread, and eventually, heated debates come up from their posts.

I think for me what makes a poster memorable here is when they have some memorable content to their posts, and I see them regularly here.

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

I've been here long enough that I have a harder and harder time recognizing people simply because everyone is coming and going. However, I will occasionally notice people who either post a number of exceedingly witty/insightful comments, people relevant to some sort of bizarre phenomenon, or people continually mentioned by other users in threads they haven't necessarily participated in.

Been doing that for two years now. :P It's not (usually) intentional! My boyfriend calls me a "polarising figure". I guess people either love me or hate me.

You should try reversing the polarity.
