Subject: When Bungie Announces Their Next Game...

Spread the love...

...and you look back at this period of darkness, what will you remember it as?

I will remember it as a time when the Community grew together into a tighter group of hardcore fans. I will also remember it as the dividing point of "bungie fans" and "halo fans", although it is entirely possible to be both and follow both.

What will you remember this time as?

Ha, that too.

I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. Also, don't hate on the ~Quinton~ at the end of my posts. Why are you still reading this? #creeper #hashtagcashmoney for hashtaging on Bungie.net

I'll probably ask myself; "was it worth it?", and I'll probably waste 10 minutes of my life debating if it was or not.

"FINALLY!"

Note: That is what I will yell when we come out of the darkness, not what I will remember this time as.

Nobody cares about anyone else's opinion - be it mine, yours, or a cult of angry star wars nerds - when they are enjoying what they enjoy.

Zombine
Everyone cares about opinions, that's why we socialize on a forum with strangers.

The answer is yes.

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

Same, I will definitely remember it as the time we all grew closer. Also a time of boredom.

I'll remember the time before all the complaints about the new game ;)

ABOUT TIME Bungie!

  • 10.04.2012 10:48 PM PDT

Err, I would think back to it as the 'Banhammer Time'. This Darkness is pretty cool, I can't wait for 2013.

I have not really been active. Just the odd post here and there.

When Destiny is finally announced/released, I will be doing this!

In my opinion it should be a great time for the community, because it will bring in an entire new crop. It will also bring people back who had fallen off or moved onto other things and had their love for Bungie renewed.

My Screenshots / My Group / Remember to follow the rules or you will get trapped in a box.

I don't remember what bnet was like before the darkness really. I am used to no weekly updates and other stuff they used to do.

Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

The time when I really started to connect. I really do get the point of the community now. While I'm excited for Destiny, I'm having fun now, too.

Who am I?

I have been more active now than ever before, I think that's how I will remember this time.

~:O>~~

When did the Darkness start?

All I want is a title promotion before Destiny is released- maybe I should hire people to post under this account to get the post # up?

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

By the time the Darkness had began, I found out that I wasn't just a Halo fan, but a Bungie fan too.

This Darkness has been a time of community; our focus was around no game, but this developer and this forum. Once Destiny is unveiled, we may not have such a time as this for a long time. I'll certainly look back at this time with fondness.

  • 10.05.2012 5:19 AM PDT

My future is certain, I will one day fly away. All because I am saved from the penalty of sin. I know he lives.

^Who is this guy? I see that he has salmon text, but I don't think that his popularity movement is working.

On Topic:
I will most likely view it as a time of peace. The forums have been getting slim in good material due to the fact of nothing really worth talking about. However, at leaste a most of the folks that still hang around here know how to behave in a forum.

Wait till the next big thing comes out, and there will be a small part of you that will miss the darkness. At least it was quite.

  • 10.05.2012 5:30 AM PDT

to be honest I am looking foward to getting to know everyone in the community better in game and hoping it becomes a common thing.... of course I can't really think of a way to do that since this current group will be attacked by the flood of omfganewgameletsgototheforumtrolls that are destined to appear.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

The Great Darkness of '11 and '12.
"It was terrible son; very cold, no one could see anything out ahead of us, and the only help we did get were those Mail Sacks and Breaking In articles. They were what kept us alive until Bungie arrived to our aid and showed us the way."

Well stated Hoobs. What I will remember is some kick butt members of the seventh column keeping a kindle burning while all was dark. I am proud in an odd way to have stuck around during the dark times. When things begin to burn bright again, we will look on this time as a watershed moment in Bungie Community lore.
