Subject: Threads that Ninjas post in getting extra attention?

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Well hello Wolfy. Fancy seeing you here. There posts are not more valuable, unless you value the fact that you can be banned for disagreeing with them...

Because ninjas are different, and therefore special, and therefore popular. People like to talk to those who are popular because if they're liked by those who are popular their popularity will surely rise.

This is like asking why the area of the hallways in High School where popular kids hang out is the most crowded.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I'll be flooding it up when I see a typical flood thread, that a Ninja posted in. It doesn't really matter what the topic is, everyone will suddenly post in this thread, quoting the Ninja or replying, etcetera.

My question is, why? Not that I don't like the Ninjas, but what makes their posts any more/less valuable?
Whenever I post in the Flood, that thread usually dies like 3 posts later.

Maybe you just don't see the dead ones because... they're dead. And you notice the mod's posts more easily because they're blindingly orange?

Or perhaps it's just me and I lack the "lightning-fast wit, professional-grade humor, scathing "mom" jokes, and biting sarcasm" that Foman has.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Now now children. You need to have signed up at least by May 04 before you can go around squabbling over join dates.

Kids these days...
