In my opinion this mod is FAR from finished.
Things i would like to see in the next version.

1) Battlerifle & SMG sounds to be ''stereo'',not mono. ( no mather the distance between the user of the rifle and the player,the sound is always the same)

2) The snipers scope to be fixed. ( the scope is a 'transparent' piece of metal )

3) Less spartans,there are to many in the game ( and let them say something )

4) The pelicans skin is messed up.

5) Some textures are over brightenend ( for example in the level ''halo'' )

6) I sometimes see rounds through textures .

More to be added.....

Come on, is it really necessary to make all these threads regarding the CMT mod? Why don't you just post questions, comments, and/or issues in the already existing CMT threads? Also, I don't think this is the place to discuss it. You should either PM one of the CMT members, or email them, or contact them at their site.

It is a mod. It isn't a complete custom piece of work. Therefore, there are certain limitations on what you can do. The sounds are definately an issue. Tool wont work with stereo sounds, so we cant make them stereo. The snipers scope is supposed to be like that. It is similar to the Coag and H2CE sniper, but more realistic. Play the game on legendary. It's the way the mod was meant to be played. You need all the spartans then. You cant just say that a skin is messed up. You need to show a picture of where that skin is messed up as well as give a description. The same goes for saying that some textures are 'overbrightened'. I know that there are different brightness levels for computer monitors, but that's what gamma correction is for. Sometimes you see what?

same with the pelican pilots, making the cool new pelicans that help you in combat screw aroudn with recorded animations, and we can't make new ones because the code was removed from the halo editing kit.

The secondary option for AI is very limitted. You have the option in the tag to make them use special firing cases of secondary trigger or overcharge. And then you can tell the % chance they will use it. And the thing that I have set to activate special firing cases is when an enemy hude behind cover. Just don't run into the spartans line of fire.

It's a limitation of the engine. It cant be done properly at all. Quite frankly, the reflective/cubemaped scopes look terrible. Having an alpha channel applied to the sniper scope gives the illusion that you can see through it. It's a lot better than seeing the skybox reflect back at you if you're indoors. Trust me, I've tried it. If it was left at that, it'd be terribly noticeable and even the non-knit-picky people would bring it up.

Considering you worked as hard as you could, I commend you on your efforts to make this modification as best as you could.

This reminds me of the modders of the Command and Conquer community, where they were unable to create an MCV system in Generals. But they recently figured a way to work past the game's limitations to make MCVs.

our new AR is more acurate, for mid tange combar. The battle rifle is for long range combart, and the SMG is for close combat when you need to tear trough grunts or rip down an elites shields. Pistol is also long range, and a single pistol bullet is more powerfull than 3 rounds from the battle rifle.. The pistol, brg, smg, AR ballance and funtions is central to the mod's gameplay.


Also, like at the E3 in 2004, where the unzoomed BR fired 3 round burst and single shot zoomed, ours is similar. Unzoomed the gun is less acurate, for when you want to fire into a crowd and hope to land som eheadshots. Zoom in and it is as acurate as a sniper.




Edit: about hunters. They have invisible shields in tehir health, and the skin is no longer counted as a headshot. You do damage them by hitting the skin, shooting armour won't do anything.

what do you mean invisible shields, you mean their health regenerages?

i think that these hunters are good, because they are not a complete joke anymore, they now are actually the hardest enemies.

only a small part of their health regenerates, and they have to not take damage for more than 10 seconds for that to happen. Glad to hear you think the hunters are the hardest, I do regret though, havig nto fight 4 at one would be nuts.

The battlerifle/smg sound is very annoying,but the chaingun doesn't seem to have that problem.

I doubt the second issue you stated could be fixed, but anything else seems possible.

Too many spartans could ruin the game, let's hope they bring the number down.

So in ways the mod pack has limits. I haven't worked out how to make the mod work yet. I've just downloaded the UI and POA. The only thing I have against the mod is the Spartans. The Helemets need some work on them and there are too many Spartans. Only 1 got off reach...

Remove the Spartans,and add some sort of other friendly AI.

We used the spartans because htey are spartans, and we spent weeks and weeks on making the new model. Plus they are much better than any marine ally you could have.

And we put scorpions in the library just to make it fun.

The new spartan model is a completely different piece of art and in no way can be comparable to the old model. It is created by a different artist, with a different mindset. and with a different style. It's like comparing DaVinci with a Mone (spelling).
