I was just thinking about it, But would halo play alot better if instead of taking forever to walk to a certain point on a huge map (coag, waterworks, containment) when no vehicles are present, would you rather have it be so that you can sprint super fast for a short period of time before having to slow down to normal to recharge the sprint?
Details:
-Sprint could make you run maybe 2 to 5 times faster than normal
-Maybe the sprint last for 5-10 seconds
-Recharge lasts 5-10 seconds
-During the sprint you won't be able to fire your weapons, but sprinting will help you dodge bullets better and will get you to where you need to go faster

So what do you all think about this feature for Halo 3?

Feel free to explain what you think it needs.

Yeah It will be cool Just like Star wars Battlefront 2 but if they had a Juggernaut in a game, They should have Sprint Feature On or Off

Yeah, for some modes Bungie would have to have an option to turn it off/on.

It would be cool, but if u are shooting someone, and they have no sheilds, they can just sprint away and survive. Also if a rocket is coming at you, you can dodge it in a second. It might have some failures, but I would love to try the feature. :)

I dont think it makes that much sense cause that would cause to many people to justt run when there about to die and when you have to reload your gun they just run away so i wouldnt want it

Ways to fix that would just be to put limits on it. Like it would make you tired and for an amount of time everything you do is slower, or you can't do anything else while sprinting (like reloading or throwing grenades)

But if you do ask me this is an old topic.

Yeah that's why I said you can't use any weapons when sprinting.

It probably has been mentioned before, but it wasn't when halo 3 had its own forum.

mate really if u are talking about faster movement i dont agree- wouldnt it be better if u could activate a super shield that will protect u from any attack for -5-10 secs-that will be m0ore usefull

No, people will abuse it and it detracts from the core simplicity of Halo's multiplayer.
