ghandi was more of a hero then jesus?? be aware people...crack is amazingly cheap and redily available to the masses
How was Ghandi NOT a hero? Or right; he only tried to unite India, and believed in defending India in a non-violent way. I guess that means nothing.

Think outside religion, it'll help you immensely.

no one is debating whether or not ghandi was a hero. he most certainly was.

but ghandi was more of a hero than jesus? if you believe in jesus' miracles alone that should be enough to place him above ghandi. even without miracles his legacy has helped people live better lives and give them guidance during difficult times.

Do you all think Bungie got noticed because of Halos they made?
Is it the only game they finally got an acheivement in?

Do you also think that Bungie got parts of halo from:
Star Wars and nintendo DS Phoenix, the Halo book thingy, Resident Evil =part for the flood and also the Star Ship TROOPERS?

The way I understand it, the release of Marathon 2 was really big for them because it was really good (does Bungie make anything that isn't good?) and because it was on PC as well as Mac. Having their games on Macs only lowered the amount of people that would get the game, because otherwise it was good. Halo just got them noticed more, because not everyone could get a good computer, and the Xbox was new, which made it more popular. And, at the time, it didn't have much console competition, so more people would buy it. I'm not saying people only liked it because their wasn't much else for Xbox, that just got them to buy it in the first place, then they liked it because of how great it is.

Why the hell do so many people in the Bungie forums have to be christian, and bring up thier religion in every discussion? It's offensive to those of us who aren't stuck to some beliefs.

I'd love harming my enemies to death with butt strokes. XD

Of course Halo is religious! Why do you think there are so many fanatics?! Oh..wait...you didnt mean it that way...my bad....

(Not putting you on the spotlight man)

Umm..what time period? Cause last time i checked, countless wars were started cause the Roman Catholic Church was fully of hippocritic bastards.....sorry, history class kicking in...

Pretty much..that only applies in modern times....post WWII modern times.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Religion brings many bad things, many good things. Science is the same. In fact, all methods used to persue ultimate power and enlightenment are. So, I would like to say that it isn't religion/science that is good/evil, but rather knowledge itself is a mixed blessing.

Anyways, to the real topic...Bungie was noticed waaaayyy before Halo. Ever hear of Marathon? Back in 1994 when it was released, its popularity rivaled that of the original Doom. Every hear of Myth? A very popular stratedgy game. Every hear of Pathways Into Darkness? It was the most advanced Mac title available when it was released. And that's only some of Bungie's awesome titles...of course, we can't forget Gnop! ;-)

Eddie metal head, why do people feel the need to freak out whenever someone mentions something religious? I think people are a little bit oversenitive about other people's beliefs. why do you care about what other people believe? other people can talk and talk and talk all day about their religion or lack thereof and I think that's fine. of course it's different when someone assaults someone's beliefs. for the most part this kind of situation only causes conflict and tension, and in the end solves nothing. but i think i'm rambling on a bit too much.

Xcalliber, i think that saying countless wars is a bit of an overstatement because i'm sure that you could count the wars caused by christianity. At the moment the only wars i can think of are the crusades. the crusades were not jesus' fault at all, but rather the catholic church's fault.

I think that a heroic death for MC would be appropriate. i can't really see MC continuing life without war after this is all over. I think he will die one way or another. that or he will live and the arbiter will die in MC's place. the arbiter seems slightly self destructive anyway.

It looks like they got a lot of insperation for Halo CE from Aliens. Everything from the assualt rifle to the pelican to some of the lines the marines say are directly out of Aliens. Watch Aliens then go play Halo CE, you'll see a LOT of things from the movie.
