I got Halo PC when it came out. I had fun with it, but it wasn't quite the same IMO. I'm not all that thrilled with Halo 2 MP in general, so I wouldn't waste my money on it.
Me and my friends still play Halo CE on XBC on weekends. It allows us to play from the same location which brings it's own fun, and probably one of the reasons I couldn't get into Halo 2. We can play using our own names, and not "guests". We play me and one friend splitscreen on one TV, and another friend on his TV. We tried and never could get two XBox's online and hooked into XBL from the same location. I was fearfull this was going to be the case long before Halo 2 came out. Most of the problems seems to be in XBox Live itself and it's limitations. Just look at some of the new games coming out...you can't even take one other person into a game in a lot of them. One player only. That sucks hard. Seems XBox Live is geared much more towards the loner.
