I personally don't like the idea of a lock on feature cause it takes away the skill of taking out a fleeing warthog or ghost. As for the boost I think i will probley like it when it comes to the bigger levels on multiplayer and it will be very useful for CTF.

yo the boost aint gonna help you on CTF, cuz now you cant take the flag with you on the Ghost. plus i really hate the LOCK system, it not gonna be the same driving a warthog.

I'm not sure. I think it will add another layer to the game. When the rocket was locked on the warthog in the E3 demo, it seemed to move slower(Balance). Besides, now it will take more skill to not get hit by a rocket... it works both ways:)

As for the boost, all I have to say is I agree with you. You never know, it might be the balance feature for those lock on rockets. Boosting may help you to outrun a locked on rocket, seeing as how the rocket in the MP vid barely seemed to catch up with a warthog. If you're on a ghost you could use the boost to get to some cover, get out of locking range/ make the rocket loose it lock, or simply outrun the rocket; that is, at the cost of stearing and weapons:)

Isn't boosting a very good way to kill someone with the ghost (he gets under your ghost) and you're going really fast so it HAS to deal a lot of damage...

I can't agree more.

First off, I like the name. Secondly, hitting someone while boosting would almost surely be a kill. The only problem is, you can't steer while boosting. In my opinion, it would be harder to hit someone while boosting. Unless your opponent is just sitting there, I would just run them over the old fashion way:)

On Waypoint I'm rocketFox;

Old GTs; RebelRobot, Flamedude

i'll have to rethink my whole style for halo2! otherwise my warthog is gonna die and take me with it, have always liked running people down on the warthog, but its risky now!

as for the rocket launcher, i think its a good thing, certainly more believable than the old one, if you know what i mean.

boosting will be very cool methinks.

The lock feature is cool and not as easy a kill as you all might think it is.

I think the lock-on thingy will ROCK !!!
And you can see in the MP movie that the rocket (almost) never hits the warthog itself, but plunges into the ground flipping the warthog...
So it's not an easy kill i think.
And the boost thing, i only think it's usefull for killing people and reducing travelling time ;)

The Lock-on feature on the rocket launcher should ONLY be for vehicles. I think it would be a bad move to have the ability to lock-on players on foot. As for the ghost boosting, that is a great idea.

although we dont know ANYTHING about the new vehicles that will be implementented into halo2. we do know that there will be flying, or faster ground vehicles. without the lock on feature of the rocket launcher, there would be no pont in using it. can u imaing firing a rocket at a boosting ghost? u'd have a better chance of sticking someone with a plasma grenade from one end of sidewinder to the other.

i like the boost feature but there should be a thing to take off rocket trackin cuz it kinda takes away the skill, im not complainin or anything cuz it would still be cool if there was tracking but u never know when u play You might love tracking

I wont mind the tracking b/c i'm sure there will be a way to shake the rocket and i will most likely be able to outmaneuver it anyways.

Boost is looking to be my second-most looked forward to improvement, (besides dual weilding of course.) ; )
