I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Maybe it's similar to the Marathon, which was built from one of Mars' moons. I would think it is of artificial construction, since the inside is definetly not that of a planet. I would guess, though, that it would be a combination of machine and a gas giant. The bottom half is missing, and is only where exhaust is let out.

I dunno...High Charity is now the new Flood Homeworld, since it is fully enveloped in flood. I wouldn't be suprised if Gravemind used High Charity as a base to attack earth in Halo 3.

High Charity is a Forerunner city-world. Supposedly safe from the Flood through its near impregnable defense grid. Should the Flood invade, then the Forerunner Ship launch countdown is initiated to evacuate the city.

It has since then been claimed by the Prophets as their homeworld.

I'm sure the covenant had to modify the Asteroid/moon so there really is no way to tell.

My guess is it's a hollowed-out planetoid a little bit smaller than our moon. If you look at its size compared to Delta Halo, which has a diameter about that of Earth's, it seems about the same size as our moon. It was then hollowed out like the rebel base from the books.

I highly doubt it was built out of an asteroid or anything. Where is the asteroid now, hmmm? After getting out of Gemini and exploring for hours, I have yet to find anything resembling a natural structure. High Charity is completely artificial, and was built around the Forerunner ship. Building it out of an asteroid, then removing the asteroid....thats just silly. Why bother with an asteroid, if you dont include it in the final plan?

Its like saying the International Space Station was built out of an asteroid.
