Subject: Can The Flood please get some respect?

Just me again, chiming in with another idea to improve B.net. I was wondering if The Flood could get it's own little spot at the main screen when people are looking to enter a forum. It is a frequently visited forum and I believe it deserves some respect now. Instead of clicking through a few menus, why not give The Flood it's due. I believe it's proven that it belongs in B.net now. New users to B.net may never even find it and I think it's a great place for newcomers to go. Mostly eveyone there is very friendly. What do the rest of you guys think?

Well Santa you didnt give me the damn train 18 years ago that i wanted.... so....

Kidding....

When i look at bungies main page, forums IMO are hidden. To the simple user they have to navigate 2 pages to really get into forum use.

Now the navigation control on the bottom is intuitive although it was cool in 2001.

Looking at my screen which is a 19 inch flat at 1280x1024 resolutoin there is plenty of space to the right of said navigation "THINGAMABOB" on the bottom.

Many changes "could" be made to show all of the forums, I agree they all need the same respect.......Possibly utilize the great empty space to the right...... That or use the <center> tag.....

Hey I didn't think about that. It's just for me anyways, I never came to B.net much until I found The Flood. It's usually a happy little place where people goof around and talk about random things. I think the sense of community there is very strong and I think many people are missing out, especially new users. It's just a shame that all the forums can't get the same respect. Mabye B.net would have even more frequent visitors if everyone could see all the forums available on one screen. ...Oh and Russo...look under your tree this year, One smurf train coming up!

Agreed Santa....

Giving new and old users simple options gives much more of a first / last impression as opposed to Groups and other things most ppl aren't interested in.

Not saying no one is interested, it is my understanding that groups here are big, but just like any community any new user has rough times finding a good Starting block or place to start off....to make friends.

The first rule in HTML is Keep the user interested, but get the user to where THEY want to go as quick and painless as possible. All at the same time keeping them on your site. Keep in mind everyone is unique.

You should know this Santa....

I did have a smurf big wheel once....

On the front page it says "Forums" on the top right. The link for the Flood is at the end of the list it takes you to. What more do you want?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

It's easy to get to the complete list through the bottom toolbar. You can access them from the homepage that way.

Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!

Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

people have tried and tried to fix/improve/better the Flood, it is best to just leave it alone.

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

I must be oblivious as to how this would benefit Bungie.net as a whole and not just a particular group of users.
