. . . Bungie have a presence on xbox.live like WayPoint currently does?

I was thinking it would only be a natural progression for Bungie with the new IP coming, along with Bungie.next. Is it something you would welcome? Thoughts?

We have B.net. It's good enough for me.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Way point isn't all that great in my opinion. I think bungie's presence as it is works just fine.

Waypoint is laggy and doesn't look as good. It's got nice backrounds, but that's about it. Their user interface isn't that great. I hope that doesn't happen to BUNGIE. In terms of community, it already does, it's just faltering at the moment because of the Darkness.

We could organize a series of community run game nights to lure an employee into signing up for one. I think that this is a good plan because even if it doesn't work, we get to play fun games with people we might otherwise have not met.

We all visit this forum on a regular basis, anyway, seems that it would be interesting to start playing games with each other.

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, if it could be done right. Waypoint is pretty craptacular in my opinion; ugly design, laggy as hell, and it often disconnects me. I think Bungie could take the general concept of Waypoint and do it better, but I'd rather them focus on Destiny at the moment and make it something truly epic.

I'm not so good with advice...Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

B.net is plenty of Bungie for me.

Yeah, I wasn't proposing Bungie have a presence on xbox.live exactly like WayPoint. My thought is that they may develop something for xbox.live coupled with their new game/Bungie.next. I have a feeling that the next ip will have capabilities for participation outside of just playing the game.

We have heard of a marketplace or economy that could be utilized to truly personalize the game experience. Trading for armor permeations or different abilities, etc. I think a tool accessible on xbox.live (in addition to Bnet) would lend itself very well to this type of fan participation.

I would like to see something . . . as long as it was functional.

While I agree that Waypoint isnt great, I still tend to check it out. I believe it will get Bungie "out into the masses" even more than it currently is, so I approve.

And what if we could access Bungie.net from xboxlive? Not all people can go on live and the internet at the same time. People with only one internet connection or a connection to bad to connect to a router could acces Bungie.net and play over live.

Fight your way out; only scrubs and mashers jump out of the corner

I think the greatest thing Bungie could do is create a system that unifies their new game and BNet in a meaningful way across the platforms they support. Similar, perhaps, to how WoW guild sites integrate with WoW data, allowing people to track events and such.

Break down, every single one of you.

No. Bungie would never be confined by the man like that.

. . . not again.

Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

I think it'd be cool. If Destiny is intertwined with the Community at all like some people are theorizing, this might happen later on.
