Okay, i took your guys advice and got a new mobo. i traded my emachines t3120 mobo and HDD for this mobo and a blank seagate 160gig hdd. i plan on getting this processor, windows xp pro, and this new fan to cool the northbridge chipset. when i build a computer, i just have to put everything together and run the windows cd? i really dont know what else i could do.

Well, the typical -blam!- bungie forum has messed your links up.

But yes, basically yeah, thats all you do. Theres a lot of finer points to it, but you will have to ask about those at the time.

Bungie, sort your crappy forum out, youve been promising to do it for ages. Wheres the bloody search feature?

Yes, the Halo franchise deserves more than a crappy, horrible website layout with an annoying forum where there is no auto-sign in feature, which also messes up links, and making us refresh pages three times in a row in a thread just to see your own post.

Okay, back on topic, was it a good deal? imo it was a good idea. think about it, a 100gig HDD for a 160gig and a crappy mobo for that one. the only things i really lost in that deal was a processor and windows already on the computer. and i really wanted to upgrade the processor anyway. so we both got a good deal, IMO anyway.
