I don't think so. I think higher titled members are held to a higher standard. When I see a high titled member create a 'spam' thread, it's not reall a spam thread. It's well thought out, it's funny, it's ironic, it's usually original and most importantly, has discussion value. Usually when lower titled members make spam threads they're actually for spamming. Have a vendetta against the community. Aren't orginal, are pretty annoying, the sixteenth parody thread for that day, offer no discussion value.
I've seen high titled members get let off the hook for some things. But then again, I've seen a lot of members go unnoticed for their spam and things I've been banned for before. Believe me, lower titled members get by with a lot more.
Being banned is the path to learning. I know I watch what I post much more carefully after the couple bans I've had.
