The story for Halo was conceived by Bungie specifically for the game. THe first book was released a few month's before Halo: Combat Evolved. The others were written after the game shipped.

And, plasma isn't always hot. Yes, it is found in the atmosphere's of stars, but it is also found in blood vessels in your body as well.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Two completely different things. One is a state of matter, the other is the liquid component of blood, more specifically, the medium in which blood cells are suspended.

Same spelling, two completely different things.

Yeah you're right but genetically enhanced super soldiers, thinking AIs with emotions/morals, teleporters, gravity lifts, MAC cannons, giant UNSC space ships, etc are okay then right? It's a frickin' videogame, get over it.

thank you. Whoever started this thread is talkin about how its not possible for the earth to survive. ok...cmon now. its a videogame. It takes a multiple pistol shots to the head to kill a so called "Master Chief" who (like moose said) "genetically enhanced super soldiers."

this is fiction....cmon now.
