The HELL you are! These are precious gifts to me and they are non-transferable! How dare you regift my challenge prize. You might as well hock a wedding ring for beer money. -DeeJ

I'm testing out my theory on paper right now, someone else can try mine if they want to.

I'm going to read this mail sack after I make this post!

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Ok the puzzle already beat me.

Phase one: Use the index of the character from the phrase "senior cinematic designer" to solve the next phrases. Colors correspond to the phrase index required to decrypt the next phrase.

I haven't tested this, but I feel it is true.

This seems legit, so let's get crackin'.

I think that's close, but according to the numbers, that cannot be the correct last name.

  • 10.12.2012 12:30 PM PDT

Yay Jerome! Also I died at the note parts. XP.

Anyways. Puzzle. We know it's not random. According to wikipedia's definition of 'inline' which I saw in the web address, it's made by some sort of function. So, a single function. Somebody reverse it. Anyone know math/ C++ or something?
:P

Edit: Matthew Ward's Breaking In article. It says his title is 'Senior Cinematics Designer.'

Good question. It seems if we just figured what each number represented (like letters), then we could easily figure it out. That seems to easy though.

Oh I just figured out the cipher!!!

Put a number (1-24) below each letter in "senior cinematic designer". There's your key. Just fill in the blanks.

I think the numbers correspond with the placement of the number/letter of the colored line.

For example:22 is red in the second line.22nd letter in the red line possible? I could be wrong though.

Nate Hawbak__'s Favorite "hero"

A-12
E-18
N-22
R-24
S-16
T-13

Last word of line 2 is HAIKU
A-12
I-4

I think we were wrong with the letter "E", maybe. Nate is spelled 22-12-13-18 in the code, which would make E=18. However, Favorite is spelled F-12-V-5-24-8-13-10, which would make E=10. Does E=10&18 or neither? Or am I being stupid?
