I'm tying to hook up Xbox Connect so I can play Halo CE with my xbox on online serers, but what is the cable needed from your router setup to your computer. Into some chip, my friend said it's a USB port, but does that mean there should be a USB port on the back of my router? Help please.

I would certainly love for this thread to fade into obscurity, but eventually someone will answer bringing this thread back up. So I will post an answer, thus, ironically, contradicting my first statement. But please, ignore my asinine hypocrisy.

This is not the appropriate forum to discuss this, the Library is where you should ask Xbox related questions, or, you could go to XBConnect.com, where they have a tutorial on setting up XBC and setting a network so you can link with others.

Honestly, I don't know what crack your friend is smoking, but I do believe he's gotten his terms mixed up. A USB port will do nothing in this situation at all. The only ports you'll have to worry about is an Ethernet jack-in.

lol

You can either use: 2 cat5 [ patch ] cables, or 1 cat5 and 1 RJ-45 [ crossover ]. And you plug it into the NIC card in the back of your PC.

If you have either of those wires, go here; http://www.xbconnect.com/xbchelp/network/

Or just look around to see what you have.

The Halo Xbox forum is down the hall and to the left.
